"The Water is Stirring! Go Get Your Healing and Take Your Stuff Back!"
by Kim Potter, Dayton, TN

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzI know a thing or two about contending...as I have contended for healing and breakthrough in my own life as well.

I really got "stirred" reading this latest article by Kim Potter in which God spoke a powerful lesson for us all. Kim shares here:

This is important, for God is saying to you today, "The water is stirring. Go in and get your healing! The water is stirring. Go and get your stuff back! The water is stirring. Get yourself up and stand firm in your faith and refuse to take no for an answer!"

What do you need breakthrough in? God has anointed you to go in and get it!

Enjoy this word by Kim and be greatly encouraged to "take back" what the enemy has stolen! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)

"The Water is Stirring! Go Get Your Healing and Take Your Stuff Back!"
by Kim Potter, Dayton, TN

It was one of those nights. God gave me a dream that brought new insight and revelation of the season we are in, as well as what it takes to lay hold of all that belongs to us. I love those kinds of nights. But, I don't always understand the fullness of what God is saying – at least not at first.

As I drove to work the morning after the dream, I meditated and talked to God about it. As we talked, He led me down a path that revealed exactly what He was saying to me. However, I believe this word is not only to me, but something He is speaking to all of us. First, let me share my dream with you, then I can take you down the same path the Lord took me.

Lost and Found

In the dream, I was at a shopping mall. After purchasing some items at a particular store, I walked out of the store to continue my shopping. A few moments later it dawned on me that I had left my purse sitting on the sales counter. Immediately, I turned around and ran back to the store to retrieve my purse. Thankfully, as I found the sales clerk, he explained he had already discovered my purse. "It is under the counter here. We knew you would be back," he stated as he handed it to me. I was so relieved!

"Thank you so much!" I responded as I took it from him.

As I turned to leave, I noticed another man in the background. He had his head bent down, and I noticed he wouldn't look at me. Immediately, I looked inside my purse, and realized someone had been in it. My wallet was disheveled and things were pulled out of it. My heart beat faster as I checked my wallet for the $500 I had in cash. It was gone, along with my credit cards. It was all gone!

Give Me My Stuff Back!

Suddenly, I was in another room where there were several people; some I knew, some I did not. The same man who had gone through my wallet was in the corner of the room. I walked up to him and boldly said, "I know you stole my money and cards. Give them back!" He kept his head down the entire time refusing to make eye contact, but his presence was foreboding. He was a physically large man. When he refused to respond, I looked around the room and asked for help.

Others watched the interaction, but they all just sat there refusing to intervene. Even the men remained in their seats unwilling to assist my need. That was it. I was so mad and without further thought I walked over to the man, pulled him up out of his seat and began going through his pockets to get my money and cards he had stolen from me. Ironically, he did not resist, and I finally retrieved all my stuff. Then I woke up.

What's the Meaning of All This?

As I drove to work the next morning after the dream, I contemplated why no one would come to my assistance to help me get my stuff back. It was then that God reminded me of a dream my daughter Breanne had about me a few weeks ago. In her dream, a tornado was heading our way and we were running for her basement. As I ran, I fell. She tried to pick me up, but I said, "Go on, get the kids to safety." In the dream she had called an ambulance to help me up, but the ambulance never came and I just laid on the ground the whole time.

Next, God took me to the story about the man who laid beside the pool of Bethesda.

John 5:1-10 says: "After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, 'Do you want to be made well?' The sick man answered Him, 'Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.' Jesus said to him, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk.' And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath."

Finally, God began to impart to me the meaning of all of these and how they were linked together. As you read this, I want to state again that this is not a word just to me, but I believe it is for you as well.

Get Up and Walk

God is saying to us (referring the story in John 5), "No one is going to put you in the water, although it is stirring. No one is going to pick you up. You are going to have to pick yourself up, for the water is stirring. And no one is going to get your stuff back for you from what has been stolen. You will have to get it back yourself."

I am reminded of something I learned from Kenneth Hagin Sr. He often said that we must have "bulldog faith." That means we don't let go until we get it. Matthew 24 uses the expression, "Those who endure to the end…" That means, if we lay hold of our promise and refuse to let go, we will have it. However, if we won't go after our promise for ourselves, we will not see it.

This is important, for God is saying to you today, "The water is stirring. Go in and get your healing! The water is stirring. Go and get your stuff back! The water is stirring. Get yourself up and stand firm in your faith and refuse to take no for an answer!"

This day, if you want it, you can have what God has promised you. You may have to take it all by yourself, but it is yours for the taking. Remember my dream? The man, who I know represented the devil, did not resist me at all. The enemy cannot resist the Word of the Living God. Go at him with the Word and your authority and you will take back your stuff. The time is now, the water is stirring, take your stuff back! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
