"For Such a Time as This - Dr. Alveda King Urges America to Return to God!"

Like her famous uncle's fiery speeches, the younger King is passionate about the message she feels called to deliver, and the news isn't good.
In chapters like "Can We Come Back?," "Rebuilding America" and "Monsters at the Gates," the book takes a hard look at the current climate in the United States – from economic turmoil to violence and constant upheaval. King posits that our country may be in this situation because we have turned blind eyes and deaf ears to the plight of our brothers and sisters. By not caring about what happens to those the Bible calls us to love, America has veered off course.
King doesn't diagnose the problem without prescribing a solution, though. We must also look to the Bible to find a blueprint for repairing the damage done. "There is much to be learned from the lessons in the books of Esther, Ezra and Nehemiah," King suggests.
