"2017: Time for a Divine Do-Over"

 How many of you would like the opportunity to have a "divine do-over" in some areas of your life? We've heard some prophetic word as of late...that it's a season of "reset" and upgrades!

I believe too, that many of us can expect to experience an incredible upgrade of faith, endurance and wisdom at the beginning next year designed to propel us into incredible divine, destiny alignments throughout 2017!

"2017: Time for a Divine Do-Over"

As I was praying into the year ahead, I had an encounter which I believe will frame up what many people may experience in the first part of 2017. As I prayed, I first heard the Lord speak clearly and say, "It's time for a divine do-over, Daryl!"
To my surprise, as He spoke, I was taken into a vision and a Scripture was quickened to my spirit from the book of James:
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." (James 1:2-4, ESV)
An Unusual Vision
I was then taken into an unusual vision where I found myself watching a computer game that I had played when I was a little boy. In the game the player, who was a knight, was required to journey through different levels, slaying a multitude of ghoulish foes with a various array of weaponry.
I remembered, as with other games, having to redo various levels on this game. I would have to start again at the beginning of the level every time I had not overcome each of the challenges on that level the time before. I suddenly knew what God was communicating. As I continued to watch, I saw the knight as I had remembered those years ago standing at the starting point of one of the levels.
In this vision however, he was not in the normal silver armor, but instead was clothed in a shiny golden armor. I remembered that this had actually been a part of the game where a player was given an opportunity to find golden armor along the way.
The golden armor was not only more durable, but also allowed the player to utilize different weapons to more easily navigate enemy advances along the way. To my surprise, as I continued to watch the knight standing ready to move forward, I saw the date flash across the top of the screen, January 2017, and watched as the knight took off running fast through the level, maneuvering perfectly through every challenge and obstacle clothed in this bright, shiny golden armor.
Then, no sooner as he had started, it seemed that he suddenly came to the end of the level as if being fast-tracked by his new armor and abilities. I saw a second date superimposed above his head on the screen as he reached the end of the level. The date read "May 2017."
Immediately another Scripture was quickened to my spirit:
"But He knows where I am going. And when He tests me, I will come out as pure as gold." (Job 23:10, NLT)
Bigger, Stronger, Faster
I felt the Lord smile as I processed all that I was seeing and hearing and as He did, a final flash vision came before my eyes of a documentary movie cover about body-building called, "Bigger, Stronger, Faster."
I saw the Lord smiled again and said,
"My people are bigger, stronger and faster than they have ever been before, Daryl, and this is why you saw the knight in golden armor at the beginning of the level. Many will find that as they start out in the new year, they feel like they are going round the same mountains as in previous years. They must not be discouraged, as this is simply a sign that the victory is at hand. They will soon come to understand that through their trials, they have been endowed with a new ability to overcome!"
"Behold, I have made you a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges; You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them, And will make the hills like chaff." (Isaiah 41:15, NASB)
Many of the trials that we have experienced in 2016 and in years prior, have been working in us to produce something invaluable. I believe that many of us will find that the beginning of 2017 feels like we are navigating similar terrain to 2016. The difference I see for 2017, however, is that although we may find ourselves having to do-over again, we have been changed!
I believe too, that many of us can expect to experience an incredible upgrade of faith, endurance and wisdom at the beginning next year designed to propel us into incredible divine, destiny alignments throughout 2017!
