Dear Elijah List Readers,

Curt Landry and I are coming PERSONALLY to all of you! I really want to endorse this SPECIAL
PROJECT TO BLESS ISRAEL!

Hanukkah is one of the most special Holidays in all of Israel. It comes each year very close to our own Christmas Day and also involves gift-giving and celebrating The God of the Miraculous.

My prayer is that you will once again choose to bless Israel this year with your special Hanukkah gift. Your gift is used to plant more olive trees in the Holy Land which is a great blessing to Israel and the Jewish people.

Remember, God has a special place in His heart for His Chosen People, Israel. And He's promised... He's made a Covenant, that "I will bless those who bless you" Israel!

Chag Sameach / Happy Holidays!

This year, the year of Jerusalem's Jubilee (50 years since the reunification of the city of Jerusalem), we have a very special opportunity to bless Zion. It is unlike any year before!

Did you know that the story of Hanukkah is VERY applicable to us today?

During the 2nd century BC, Antiochus IV tried to force the Jews to assimilate into Greek culture—even to the extent of prohibiting Jewish religious observance...

"No Jewish worship. No circumcision. You must and you will assimilate!"

So began the Maccabean revolt that ended in 164 BC, after 3 years of battle when the Maccabees finally defeated Antiochus' armies and reclaimed Jerusalem.

After their victory, the Jewish fighters entered the Holy Temple, finding it in complete disarray. The Temple had to be cleansed and rededicated as it was in shambles and littered with pagan idols, including that of Zeus.

Pigs had been sacrificed on the altar. The Temple was defiled in every way.

When it was time to light the Menorah the Maccabees found only one jar of Holy oil bearing the seal of the High Priest, Yochanan. The men were forced to light the Menorah in faith that this small amount of oil would last—it would take a miracle!

And it was through a miracle of God that the oil burned for eight days—the time it took the priests to prepare more Holy oil. This was the true miracle of Hanukkah!

God Provided...

It is difficult to read the story of Hanukkah and not see us in a similar place today—a place where we are warring for the culture.

Yeshua identifies Himself with Hanukkah as the Servant who brings the Light to the world. The center candle of the Hanukkiah (the nine branched menorah) is referred to as the "Shammas," or "Servant" candle—the one candle that provides light for all eight.

"As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."—John 9:5

In fact, we actually know that Yeshua had a very special relationship with the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah). Not only is it believed that He was conceived during this season (and then born during the Feast of Sukkot), but it is also recorded in John 10:22-23 that Yeshua Himself—the Light of the World—was at the Temple in Jerusalem, walking in Solomon's porch during the Feast of Dedication:

"Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon's porch."

This area, part of the larger Kidron Valley, located east of King David's palace, is believed to have once been a garden for the ancient kings of Israel. And perhaps most importantly, it is there on the hills below the Mount of Olives where the Messiah is expected to return.

It is an area where the kings of Israel once walked, and where the Messiah of Israel will return. This is such an exclusive opportunity for you and for all of us at
My Olive Tree.

This Hanukkah we are truly honored to be afforded such an exceptional location for our sponsorships—a location I can only hope will be available in the future—but as of this very moment we have less than 449 open planting sites available as part of phase 1 of this powerful initiative.

Friends, I am looking for your partnership. We can join our hands together and make a powerful statement this Hanukkah season. A statement of peace. A statement of unity. A statement that we will not allow the world's culture to overcome—"... as for me and my house we will serve the Lord!" (Joshua 24:15)

This Hanukkah we are planting to release 8 blessings over your family and over the City of Jerusalem.
As part of our thank you gift, we will send you a gift-wrapped Hanukkiah from Israel that you can light with your family and decree with us:

 First Candle, 'Aleph'—Father

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD [is] one!"—Deut. 6:4

The first light of Hanukkah represents the Father God. Through My Olive Tree sponsorships we are literally demonstrating the heart of the Father and on the first night of Hanukkah we want to pray for our earthly fathers: may the Lord raise up spiritually strong fathers for our children and our children's children. Men of honor and integrity! And for those of you who did not have a good father figure in your life, we pray for healing in your hearts this Hanukkah 5777. We are sowing our seed during Jerusalem's Jubilee to bless the City of our Father God!

 Second Candle, 'Bet'—Son

"Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?"—Amos 3:3

The second light of Hanukkah represents, son—we are all sons and daughters of the King. On this night we light the candles and we pray for unity and a revelation of true sonship for all of those who dwell in Jerusalem, and for those in our families who are lost and struggling for their true identity.
We sponsor our trees and we light a candle in honor of the Prince of Peace, in Jerusalem and in our homes.

 Third Candle, 'Gimel'—Spirit

"Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."—Ecclesiastes 4:12

The third light of Hanukkah represents the Spirit, and as we operate in the Spirit of the Lord we are literally helping fulfill Bible prophecy in Jerusalem. On this night we light a candle that the Spirit of the Lord would breathe upon Jerusalem and in our own homes in 5777. We sow our sponsorships and decree a fresh release and impartation of the Holy Spirit.

 Fourth Candle, 'Dalet'—God Created

"So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Then God said, 'Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.'"—Genesis 1:19-20

The fourth light of Hanukkah represents 'God created,' and through My Olive Tree we are being invited to participate in His creation. Tonight we are lighting the fourth candle and decreeing that all of God's creation, in Jerusalem and in our homes, will answer the call and purpose that we were created for.
We are sowing into Jerusalem, and we are reaping a harvest in our own lives!

 Fifth Candle, 'He'—Redemption and Grace

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."—John 3:16

Every tree, every vine, every one of the seven species sponsored through My Olive Tree grows as a sign of redemption and grace for the people and the land of Israel. We are planting to redeem the land and take root in the promise of Zion. On the fifth night of Hanukkah we are lighting our candles and praying that the land of Israel, and her people, experience grace and full redemption in Jerusalem's Jubilee! We are agreeing together for the activation of the promises of the Lord in Jerusalem and in our homes.

 Sixth Candle, 'Vav'—Man

"...having abolished in His flesh the enmity, [that is,] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man [from] the two, [thus] making peace..."—Ephesians 2:15

The sixth candle of Hanukkah represents man. As the One New Man, Jew and Gentile united, we have not only been called to bless Israel with our prayers, but also with tangible gifts. There is not a lot that would be considered more tangible than one of the seven species that grows as symbols of peace and solidarity.
On this night we light a candle and agree together that Israel will experience the blessings of the One New Man in unified action during this Hanukkah season... and as we sow, so shall we reap!

 Seventh Candle, 'Zayin'—Spiritual Perfection

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it..."—Genesis 2:2-3

The seventh candle represents spiritual perfection, or completion. On the seventh night of Hanukkah we light our candles in honor of 5777, and we proclaim together that as we walk in 2017, that God's perfect will is evident in our lives and throughout Jerusalem's government as they make crucial decisions. We pray for shalom and completeness—nothing broken, nothing missing.

Eighth Candle, 'Chet'—Superabundance into a New Beginning

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."—Philippians 4:13

The eighth candle of Hanukkah represents the abundance of a new beginning, and each My Olive Tree sponsorship, stands as sign of hope and a new beginning. During this eighth and final candle lighting, we pray together that a sense of hope will flood throughout the land—into the hearts of the people with every sponsorship—growing as a sign of friendship and of a bright future for Jerusalem and all of Israel. And once again... as we have sown, may we reap!

Genesis 12:3 promises us that that when we bless Israel we will be blessed, and Second Corinthians 9:6 reminds us that:

"...Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."

Friends, we reap what we sow, and this Hanukkah season we have a special opportunity to sow faithfulness, love, a release of the Spirit, unity, restoration, alignment, provision, peace, and redemption.

We are sowing into Jerusalem's Jubilee Hanukkah, and we believe that every seed sown, every tree planted, will result in a release in our own lives and our own country—a release that is pressed down and shaken together.

We also want to thank you for your sponsorship, and send you a few gifts from Israel to help you remember that our God is faithful to provide even in the darkest of seasons.
