 Africa is a wonderful continent. I've only been to it one time, but if you want to see praying Christians, just go to Africa.
But it's also a tough place because the Lord is doing such amazing things there, and the devil has sent his hordes to try to thwart and contaminate the movements of God in Africa.
So counterfeits abound. But God will have none of it. "But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more" (Romans 5:20).
This is such an encouraging word about what God has planned, not just for Ghana but for the whole of Africa.
Remember the Scripture that says, "And [Jesus and His parents were] there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt [Africa] have I called my son..." (see Matt. 2:15).
That's because Egypt was and is—part of Africa. When I was there, the African Christians took great pride that it was AFRICA who sheltered the newborn baby Jesus when Herod tried to kill him.
And they are right to feel this way.

Over the past eighteen months, I have been meeting leaders from Ghana, who are either based here in the UK or in Ghana. Whilst I have not yet been to minister in Ghana, it has been on my prayer radar more and more. Glory to God!
I've just returned this week from a mission trip to Hawaii, where God blessed us and moved so powerfully in signs and wonders through the powerful preaching and teaching of His Word. Whilst my sleep pattern has been settling back into UK time from Pacific Time, I have been up and down in the nights. Two nights ago during a jet-lagged pause, Ghana was on my mind as God began to speak to me about making my first trip there. As I prayed, the Lord unfolded the following vision and prophetic word.
An Angel Deployed in Ghana to Release Holy Fire
I saw a mighty angel being deployed onto the land. He had a touch-taper (lighter) in his hand and was bending down to light a fire. Once the fire had been lit, the flame shot like an arrow around, across and within the nation. I observed that the land had some dark places, which had small fires that were already burning on them. The Holy Spirit impressed to me that these fires were "false fires" and they were burning as a sacrifice to other gods. I observed that the holy fire the angel had lit was now consuming these fires.
True Worship to God Opens Up Portals of Glory
There were other places on the land that had beautiful light emanating from them. They radiated the glory of true worship. I saw the fire of God come and meet these places where the Church was engaged in worship in Spirit and in truth, and thereafter appeared portals of glory that opened up between Heaven and earth as the worship continued to escalate, and so the glory increased.
These places became a point of contact for the manifestation of the glory of God. I saw what looked like a ladder between Heaven and earth, and angels were ascending and descending on the ladders. These churches shall become centers of Kingdom transformation because of the presence and the power of God in the midst of His people. Ghana get ready for a wave of worship that will usher in a new revival!
Apostolic Company Arising to Defend the Faith
I saw an apostolic company, predominantly of spiritual fathers, though not exclusively male (i.e. there were some apostolic women also) arising in the nation to ensure that false prophets, false teachers and false miracle workers were exposed for their corruption and deceit. I thank God for such a remnant and it is my heart to stand alongside such a fathering apostolic movement in the nation to help reform and revive the Church to bring transformation to the entire nation of Ghana.
Miracle Harvest Yield
The Lord showed me a wonderful agricultural phenomenon of multiplication and acceleration on those who are obedient to His will. As a sign of the spiritual restoration, He will bring a bountiful blessing in physical harvest in 2017, especially on the sweet potato farmers who serve God. It is not exclusive to the sweet potato and will be evidenced in other increased crop yields too. Ghana will become like a Goshen for those who love and serve God.
Market Place Blessings
I also see great wealth being released from gems and natural minerals and resources in Ghana for Kingdom entrepreneurs with pure hearts and business integrity.
