Dear Friend of Zion,

4 Reasons to be Thankful for Israel this Season

You're about to find yourself sharing one thing you're thankful for, as you sit around a Thanksgiving meal, surrounded by family and friends. What a perfect time to recount the many reasons we should be thankful for Israel. As you read this, ask yourself if you agree. And if so, consider extending an offering to your Israeli brothers and sisters in need.

  1. Our Thanksgiving holiday wouldn't exist without Israel, because America wouldn't exist without Israel. The Mosaic law and principles of freedom, faithfully maintained by the Jewish people for centuries, inspired the Founding Fathers to create a nation based on Judeo-Christian values.

  2. While the UN denies the Jewish people's historic connection to Jerusalem, Israeli scholars release new archaeological discoveries that prove this to be false! Papyrus scrolls from the 7th century BC testify to the truth that Jerusalem is the beloved capital of the nation of Israel. Don't you just love evidence?

  3. Millions of Americans benefit every day from the many life-saving medical innovations developed by this modern nation. These include a robotic exoskeleton that enables paraplegics to walk and run marathons; the Babysense breathing monitor that guards against SIDS; and coming soon, Bio-Retina, allowing the blind to see via transmission of electrical impulses into images.

  4. What better reason to be thankful for Israel than friends like this? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself said, "Israel is the one country in which everyone is pro-American...And I represent the entire people of Israel who say, 'Thank you, America.'"

Our teams on the ground are collecting resources to provide nourishing food and lodging to disadvantaged youth. These children (and young adults in the IDF who don't have a family of their own to come home to) need an extra touch of support to know they're loved and cared for.

Would you join me in making a Thanksgiving offering to bless the nation of Israel?

I can personally vouch that the children at our Ahava Village would be so grateful if you did.

For Zion's sake,

David Birnbaum

Blessings to you and yours,

P.S. This holiday season, we have much to be thankful for. Please give as generously as you can to let our Israeli brothers and sisters know we're grateful and are standing with them!
