This word by Jeffery and Kathie Pelton exhorts the Body of Christ once more to "stay in prayer now" that the election is over.
Just as Donald Trump continually pointed out that "this is a movement," to those at his rallies, the Lord is pointing out to you and me, His followers, that throughout this election, the Lord has birthed another movement... MOVEMENT OR PRAYER.
We must realize that this PRAYER MOVEMENT is not over but rather has only just begun.

"Understanding This Crucial Time: A Call To Prayer"

A Call to Continue in Prayer
The recent US election was a pivotal time for the nation and for the Body of Christ. We believe there was a crucial choice placed by God Himself before the people, and many Believers who were able to look beyond what we could see with our eyes and hear with our ears were able to discern the wisdom of Heaven and pray with fervor that the will of the LORD would be accomplished.
Although we have heard from many who disagree with us, we believe His will prevailed. The campaign season was unprecedented in its furor and ferocity, displaying in the political arena a battle we believe has significance far beyond our choice of the next president.
And the fight is far from over!
The United States of America is now experiencing riots and bitterness and inflamed rhetoric increasing to the point that some fear the very fabric of society could be torn asunder. The raging powers and principalities that have affected our nation because of sin have not ceased their seduction and destructive chaos. Deep traumas and divisions from systemic sins and oppression that have existed in our culture are now being fully exposed. Even many Christians have been sucked into arguments and bitter recriminations with one another because they feel wounded and betrayed.
Will we trust that the Lord is in control and knows what He is doing? A call is ringing out to us all: the cry of Elijah when he stood before the prophets of Baal and shouted "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal is God, follow him" (1 Kings 18:21). Will we choose our preconceived notions of "the sort of man God would use?" Will we be intimidated by worldly dictates and opinions about our lack of integrity and compassion? Will we fight with our brothers and sisters who see things differently than us? Or will we lay aside our agendas and fall on our faces proclaiming, "The LORD, He is God!"
Mind the Gap
Recently I (Kathi) awoke and heard in my spirit, "Mind the gap!" Immediately I saw the London Tube—the
underground rail system—and people were getting onto various cars in preparation to move ahead swiftly. If you have ever traveled on this transport, you know that when it reaches a station, before the doors open an automated voice intones "mind the gap" to alert riders to use caution when disembarking. I believe we are embarking on an underground movement that will arise and overtake what we see happening in the land and in the streets. We are to be a part of an underground movement that is arising to occupy the land with prayer. It is imperative that we go low even as we move quickly so that we might "mind the gap" the enemy is seeking to infiltrate.
We must stand in this gap as people who do not "waver between two opinions." The spirit of Jezebel creates "camps" and divisions, but when we stand together as an army that "does not jostle one another" (Joel 2:8), we defeat the power of disunity, and occupy the gap between camps in order to bring reconciliation and true righteousness and peace.
Understanding the Battle
It is always vital that we understand the wicked schemes of the enemy. We do not focus on what our adversary is doing, but we are exhorted in Scripture to be sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8), to be humble before God and resist the devil (James 4:7), and to understand the will of the Lord individually and corporately (Ephesians 5:15-17).
The accuser of the brethren attempts to divide God's people through religious and political opinions, creating entrenched camps of opposition and offense that separate us and brings dishonor to the name of Jesus.
The forces of hell rage unceasingly to turn our nation away from support for Israel. The profane spirit of Moloch seeks to annihilate the upcoming "generation of Jacob" who will march shoulder to shoulder with fathers and mothers in the faith as together we ascend new heights of holiness and authority:
Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face (Psalm 24:3-6).
The enemy is deathly afraid of generations united in faith and attempts to thwart us through deception and by stirring up hatred and division. The election did not create the rage and violence that has exploded in the land, but simply uncovered what is in people's hearts.
As the Body of Christ, we have the incredible privilege and responsibility to worship and pray and sow righteousness and peace, so that wickedness and the spirit of Jezebel do not prevail. This is not the time to enter into strife or view things through the eyes and understanding of flesh! We must corporately discern and understand the will of the Lord and pray accordingly.
The Writing on the Wall
Recently I (Jeffrey) had an unusual dream, in which I saw a massive, disembodied hand before me. I was fascinated and desired to examine it more closely, but as I approached it suddenly it clenched into a fist and punched me in the chest. I awoke with a shout (which also jolted Kathi awake). My initial reaction to the dream was that my heart had been jolted back to life, such as when a medical team uses a defibrillator on a patient in cardiac arrest.
The other impression I had was that the hand was similar to the hand described in Daniel 5 that wrote judgment against Belshazzar as he indulged in a blasphemous drunken banquet using goblets from the temple in Jerusalem. He called upon Daniel to interpret the writing, and Daniel responded:
"…the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this writing was written. And this is the inscription that was written:
Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin
"This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians…" (Daniel 5:23-28).
I felt it was significant that the hand that inscribes judgment can also be used to "shock" us back to life. I didn't sense the dream was necessarily meant for me personally, and I did not fully understand it until several days later. As I joined in prayer with a number of pastors and ministry leaders from various regions in the US, the Lord made it clear to me that my dream was an expression of His work in the nation.
A few days after my dream, Kathi had a vision of a cloud, "The size of a man's hand," and realized that we were to speak to the cloud and ask that mercy would begin to rain down upon us. We have come to 
understand that in the process of the election, God gave the US a choice: either receive another opportunity for His mercy to be extended as we repent and call upon Him, or choose to walk deeper into dishonesty and wickedness. We chose wisely. But He is still "weighing us in the balances" at this time, to see how we respond to the call of His Spirit. We are in a window of time where He is graciously offering mercy if we will humble ourselves and pray and choose to dwell with each other in unity. (Photo via Flickr)
Do Not Grow Weary
Unfortunately, we have already begun to see deep weariness settle upon those who strove mightily in battle through intercession these past months. The enemy is using news of angry riots and the clamor of social media to wear down God's people with discouragement. The attacks that seem targeted at President-elect Trump are, in reality, aimed at the Body of Christ. If frustration and emotional exhaustion can cause us to leave our prayer posts at this crucial time, the enemy will have opportunity to violate our land with increasing division and demonically designed decrees.
It is just as important to occupy the land as it is to conquer the land. Those who have been fervently fasting, praying, and releasing worship must not believe that their assignment is finished. The work has only just begun. We hear the Holy Spirit asking His people: "Though you are weary, will you continue to stand on guard for the United States of America?"
You may need a physical vacation or emotional nurturing, and by all means do what needs to be done to care for your body and your soul, but do not disengage your spirit. Seek the Lord and gather with Believers to find out what God is asking of you. It is not a time to retreat, but to stand like the prophet and hear what the Holy Spirit will say.
I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart,
and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. (Habakkuk 2:1)
Will you join with brothers and sisters and stand watch to hear what He tells us, and then pray so that our nation and our incoming president have the wisdom to know how to move forward? Will you remain on the wall even as you allow the Holy Spirit to refresh you? The next two months leading up to the presidential inauguration are crucial, and though we are entering the holiday season, it is NOT the time to become passive!
Through all that is ahead of us, remember that the battle is the LORD'S. He invites us to trust and follow Him as He marches in triumph. Together, we will advance the Kingdom of our merciful and almighty Savior, and the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
