"His Voice in Creation Declares the Change that is Coming"
by Karen Hardin, Tulsa, OK

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzHere is another great word about the "resurrection" that is coming. What seems dead is being resurrected. God has NOT forgotten His promises and what you have walked through!

Karen shares:

It seems to have been a long winter season and your hopes, dreams and words that you felt the Lord speak to your heart about your life, your family, your job, your health, your hopes, have all but died and yet He can take that which is dead, or which seems to be dead, and resurrect it to be FULL of life and blossoming to overflowing.

Be full of LIFE and overflowing in this season!

"His Voice in Creation Declares the Change that is Coming"
by Karen Hardin, Tulsa, OK

Spring to Life!

What we experience in the natural is often a mirror of what He is doing in the supernatural. God speaks to us in the very voice of creation. I was reminded of this twice in specific ways in just the last couple of days. The first was during a conversation with my husband.

He and I were out on our front porch talking when he commented about one of my hanging baskets that was overflowing with purple and pink flowers. "Those are beautiful," he commented. "They are just so full."

What he didn't know was that the Lord had already been speaking to me about that very basket and my garden. You see that basket of flowers is an annual which means that when winter comes and the flowers die, they usually won't come back the following spring. The basket he was referring to was actually an annual from the previous summer. (Photo via Karen Hardin)

Although Oklahoma winters don't get as cold as the states further north, we had our share of freezing temps last year that should have killed this plant to its roots. However, when spring came and it was time to replant my flowerbed, I saw one tiny sprig of green within the dry brittle remains in the flower pot. I couldn't believe it. It was just one tiny sprig, but I wondered, "If I leave it, can it come back to life?" And so I didn't replant the basket with fresh flowers even though it was right up front and center on my porch entry. Instead I watched it and watered it...and it began to grow.

Now at the end of the season the plant that seemed all but dead, was the hanging basket that caused my husband to comment on how full and beautiful it had become. To look at it now, you would never know.

Many of you have felt the same way. You may think it impossible, but if you will just watch, wait and allow His Spirit to continue to bring water to your soul, that thing that seems impossible can burst back to life.

Change is Blowing

And here is the second word the Lord spoke to me this week through creation: "Watch what is happening around you in this season for creation is crying out with My message."

I sat on that same porch today typing on my computer and watched as the wind blew from the south. It was ushering in a change, but the change was from the south. This wasn't the cold change of winter coming from the north as would be typical for this time of year, but a southward springtime type wind of change. That is significant. For when it would seem like winter is coming, He is in fact bringing a fresh breeze.

Make no mistake, change is blowing in. Watch it blow. For it is creation speaking its own language of what is happening in the spirit – change. Some who are not walking with the Spirit will despair of this change and not recognize it for the good. Some will try their best to keep the change from coming. But others will relish in its fresh breeze. You cannot restrain that which the wind (of the Spirit) ushers in.

Many have been waiting and waiting for this season almost ready to give up that it would ever come. But it is here. It is now at the very threshold as the winds have started to blow and just like the flowers in the hanging basket, they declare resurrection, life, and blossoming of those things that had been planted in the past and are now being birthed forth in the present. The old is being blown out as we have contended for the new.

Don't stop. Continue to pray and contend for the change. Your prayers join the breath of the Spirit of change for revival and reformation, not only for your own life, but all around us.

Lord, we join with Your creation to call for the change of the spirit. For a fresh breeze that will blow across our souls and our land to bring in resurrection and restoration. Make it to bloom and blossom again where death seems to have taken hold and we declare for new life to come forth.
