"Your Boundaries Are Enlarging: It Is Time to Thrive!"
by Kathi Pelton, Eugene, OR

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzThis is an awesome and prolific vision Kathi Pelton had of seeing many plants growing in pots and the transplanting process they go through.

Have you felt that it's time to "expand your borders" and grow into a much broader place?

Just read this by Kathi in which she shares how a plant grows in a pot:

You were never created to have your growth stunted by "life in a pot". You were created to thrive! You will now quickly grow high, wide, thick and deep. Fruit will thrive upon your branches and the great Gardener and His friends will sit below your branches and eat of your fruit and enjoy the shade that you provide.

Enjoy this word...it's time for you to thrive in a much broader place!

Please forward this word to your friends! Encourage them to subscribe to the Elijah List right here: http://elijahlist.com/subscribe.

"Your Boundaries Are Enlarging: It Is Time to Thrive!"
by Kathi Pelton, Eugene, OR

Vision of Being Transplanted

I saw a vision of hundreds of plants that began as tiny seedlings in small pots. Then I saw a gardener watering and caring for these seedlings until they were stronger and big enough to have a larger pot. This vision continued with the gardener fertilizing, watering, trimming and then transplanting each plant into larger pots so that these plants would not become root bound. The larger the plant got the deeper the roots went which made the gardener have to pull with more strength to get the plant to let go of the pot that it was outgrowing.

Then finally, I saw these plants in huge pots (they were more like small trees at this point) and once again I saw the gardener looking at this plant because of how large it had grown. He checked the bottom of the pot and sure enough the roots were beginning to grow out of the bottom of the pot. Then the gardener went out to an open area in an open land that he had been preparing with fertilized soil, water and plenty of sunlight. He dug a deep hole and then he got a hand truck and brought one of these huge potted plants down to the prepared place.

It took great effort to loosen this plant (tree) from this massive pot but after shaking it, pulling it and disrupting all the soil that surrounded it (great pressure was applied) the tree finally surrendered to the gardeners hands and loosened from its secure pot. The gardener then planted it within the large hole that he had prepared in the land.

This plant was no longer just a potted plant but now a tree that was mature enough to be planted in an open place where its roots can spread out and go deep. This tree could now bear fruit, provide shade and thrive in the land that it was planted. This was happening for all of those plants that had begun as tiny seedlings.

The Pressure Has Been Great

This is a picture of what is happening for many of God's people at this time. The timing of being transplanted from a potted plant to being a tree planted in an open place may differ for some (depending on the stages of growth) but many have been going through the shaking, pulling and great pressure of being freed from the huge pot that you have been growing in.

It is a painful process where some roots are broken and torn away, the soil around you is disrupted and falls away and even a sense that you are not sure that you will survive this process has been very real. But then after all of this pressure you will suddenly feel your life go from this insecure place of having been removed from the secure place to merely being held up with all of your roots exposed to a deep and wide place where you are planted as a tree.

Suddenly it will feel like you can let your roots go deep and wide. You will know that this is the place that you were always created to be in. Though you have gone through many transplant processes, even thinking that the bigger pot was your destiny and permanent home, now you know that you were never meant for a place with restrictions on how wide and deep your roots could grow.

You were never created to have your growth stunted by "life in a pot". You were created to thrive! You will now quickly grow high, wide, thick and deep. Fruit will thrive upon your branches and the great Gardener and His friends will sit below your branches and eat of your fruit and enjoy the shade that you provide.

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." Isaiah 61:1-3

Pleasant Boundary Lines

You were created to display His splendor. You are His planting and He is pleased with how strong you have grown. Don't be discouraged by the pressure that you've been experiencing or by this disruption that has taken place in your life because you are being transplanted from a pot to a spacious place where your boundary lines are vast.

"Lord, You alone are my portion and my cup; You make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." Psalm 16:5-6

It is time to thrive!
