This coming week we in America will remember & celebrate our Independence from British rule.
 But did you know this?
John Adams strongly believed that by taking us out of British rule we were being put firmly under God’s rule... that we were now under the rule of the King of kings, and Lord of lords. He believed that God reigned in Heaven and He wanted his Kingdom to extend to the New World.
John Adams wrote this regarding Independence Day:
"This day will be the most memorable epic in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival."
He felt the celebration should be in a manner that would commemorate the day as a "day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty."
John Adams believed that the 4th of July should be a religious holiday.
The two top holidays celebrated in this country are Christmas and the 4th of July. According to John Adams, the two dates are connected. On the 4th of July, the Founding Fathers simply took the precepts of Christ and His birth (celebrated at Christmas) and incorporated those principles into a civil government.

Sometimes I think we might forget the spiritual implications of this...
Our country is founded firmly on Christian values and beliefs.
 We all know God loves Israel.
Our country has strong ties with Israel among Believers.
God loves Israel. God has sustained Israel and its children for generations.
Blessing Israel on such an important day in the United States history is very symbolic and powerful.
It is a small way that we as Americans can rise up and say WE stand with Israel. Our hearts stand with her people.

My Olive Tree (MOT) is a company that encourages the sponsorship of trees in Israel to help boost Israel's agricultural economy and provide jobs through continued harvests. MOT works with agricultural businesses and farmers in Israel. The contract with the farmers states that My Olive Tree receives 10% of the profit of the oil that is harvested annually from the trees. MOT has agreed to donate this annual percentage into humanitarian aid work in Israel—the other 90% remains with the farmers. This is in an effort to bless Israel's industry and families.
Sponsorship: There are options to plant trees for less in Israel. Many times these trees are small saplings that are planted solely for the purpose of reforestation. They are generally planted without irrigation and do not receive further care. MOT plants for reforestation and for the purpose of receiving future harvests. The trees are at least 3 feet tall, irrigated and receive the care they need to become mature trees that produce annual harvests. They are purchased from nursery stocks that are designed to produce healthy harvests in specific types of soil. The sponsorship of the tree is not tax-deductible.
