Crystal Wade: "Make Hay While the Sun Shines"

by Crystal Wade
Dec 15, 2014

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:

There's a lot of "hustle and bustle" that we do during this time of the year, especially. We can get so busy with activities and not take that quiet time to be with the Lord and enter into His Rest and Peace.

Crystal Wade serves with Prophetic Pastor Kent Simpson under the banner of Prophetic Ministries Tabernacle and shares a passion to position the next generation to be anchored in truth so they can fly in the Spirit. Kent writes a short intro for Crystal below.

Crystal shares: The more time we invest in quiet focus time on the Father and His Word, the quicker and easier we are able to power down from the culture and plug in to Him as we go through the day.

There are some great keys to Peace in Crystal's word that will greatly benefit you.

Enjoy!

Steve ShultzThe works of Crystal Wade are carefully inscribed on technology's parchment, releasing the cry of her heart, soul, and spirit. Her meaningful and deep writings impact its readers through the expressions of one who knows the pain of everyday life, as a married Christian woman raising children in a world that is ever-changing. Respectfully, she shares her heart by reflecting a methodical light, parting a path for those who are searching for truth.

Sharing her thoughts, she gently speaks prophetically to your inner spirit. At times, you can feel a gentle tapping in your spirit bearing witness with her well-played instrument, the sound of her writings.

Make Hay While the Sun Shines

When Bob Jones and Arthur Burt, who both carried promises of world harvest, received their heavenly promotions this year, the bells of Heaven began ringing. They completed their work, and the time of their passing was a sign of the times for us.

Over a decade ago, the Lord spoke to me that world harvest would start in 2010. He showed me a tractor hovering over a large field stretching from horizon to horizon. It is certainly harvest time!

During natural harvest time, there is a big push and long hours to get as much hay cut and baled as possible in the summer and early fall days. In Texas, sometimes the weather allows the hay season to run longer. However, sooner or later, the seasons change, and hay is necessary to harvest to provide nourishment to the animals over the winter when there is little food available in the fields. In the same way, "Make hay while the sun shines" is applicable to harvesters of souls also.

To Be Ready to Serve the Good News and Harvest Souls, We Must "Make Hay" and Eat the Good News!

There is both so much real and concocted bad news being broadcast and served as nourishment or food to the people. This, however, is not the Lord's news. His news is good: Our promises and our harvesting work are at hand. Bad news may even cause some people to be more open than ever to the Good News – which is good! To be ready to serve the Good News, however, we must do the work to keep the bad news out of our minds and hearts.

In order to have a viable voice, we have to stand separate from the bad news that is being streamed through whatever source. Additionally, we need to tune into the Father's frequency – and intentionally nurture peace in our minds and hearts.

This requires focus, because we live in a media-saturated society – which much of the time plants weeds of fear, doubt, unbelief, etc., into minds and hearts.

There is still time – though no time to waste – to make hay for ourselves while the sun shines. How do we do this?

How to Make Enough Nourishing "Hay" to Carry You Through All Seasons

A heart at peace gives life to the body... Proverbs 14:30

A heart at peace is life to the body – peace is life, or nourishment, to the body, and when peace flows from the heart, the body receives life.

There are two keys which will unlock the door for peace to flow:

1. The focus of our mind.
2. The trust of our heart.

First, is the focus of our minds. We live in an instant-feed news world, but constantly grazing on news feeds from social media, smart phones, the news, etc. will not nurture peace.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Isaiah 26:3

Instead, we use our wills to follow the ancient command: "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth" (Psalm 46:10). This means that we get to a quiet place – externally and internally. Then, we focus our minds to think about the amazing character and ways of God our Father, and His upcoming renewed fame among the nations!

The more time we invest in quiet focus time on the Father and His Word, the quicker and easier we are able to power down from the culture and plug in to Him as we go through the day. This practice of focusing our minds on Christ (who is the Word) will yield the fruit of peace.

Second, is the trust of our hearts. All of us have lived through our own personal traumas. Our hearts are the seat of our emotions and the convergence of our true selves. Our hearts are where our minds and emotions, and our spirit and soul converge. Our hearts hold the memory of trauma which has not been healed, in addition to the deep desires we hold – not the "This is the kind of house of life I want" desire, but the "I want to uphold the honor of God" or "Let my life make a significant mark" kind of desire.

A big portion of trusting the Father is knowing that He is working for good in our lives as well as on behalf of the world harvest, and even facing the memories of trauma and allowing Him to re-interpret and thus heal those wounds which are barriers against our trusting Him.

When storms blow, and storms do occur at the change of the seasons, the place where our hearts trust is revealed. The time to break down barriers to trusting the Father is now. Not during a storm. Christ said that storms came to two houses, but one house was built on the rock, and it was not blown down because the one who built his house on the rock heard His words and did them (see Matthew 7:24-26).

It is important – and here is where the work and the push to make hay is – to make quiet time to focus on the Word and listen to His Spirit. We work to keep the weeds of fear, doubt, unbelief, etc., out of our minds and hearts, and to nurture our minds and hearts in the Word and listen to His Spirit so that we have enough nourishing food – peace – to give life to our bodies when the hay season is over.

As we are putting these things into practice, He keeps us in His perfect peace. First, we have to nurture the truth of peace in our own minds and hearts, which are the neuro-paths and emotional flow. Then, He keeps us in His own perfect peace.

Faith comes by hearing the sound of the Gospel (see Romans 10:17). We need to hear the Lord's Good News of peace, so we have the faith for it, and keep it going longer hours now to make that hay of peace to nourish us and our families.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
