Destined For Greatness - "Will You Be Ready?"
Will You Be Ready?
In 1 Kings 19:11-12 The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by."
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper."
Acts 2:1-2 says, "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting."
After the wind there was an earthquake (in Acts 12, Peter was in prison and his chains fell off and the prison doors opened), but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire (in Daniel 3 Nebuchadnezzar ordered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace and they were unharmed), but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
The Lord is about to pass by, "Will you be ready?"
Although we all experience spiritual barrenness at times, this is not normal. God desires to be near to His people in order to help and comfort them. God is our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, even though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, and everything around us is being shaken, we shall not fear.
Destined for Greatness
The Father reminds us that when He called Elijah he was destined for greatness, but he had many obstacles to overcome. On top of the mountain he had to continually take off those things that were weighing him down! When he reached the top of the mountain, three manifestations hit:
1. A great and powerful wind.
2. An earthquake.
3. A fire.
All three are symbolic. The Holy Spirit blew in the winds of change. No matter what prison you are in mentally, emotionally or in the natural, God will come to your rescue like He did when He opened the prison doors for Peter at the right time, and rescued and protected Daniel from the fiery furnace. They were never alone.
Elijah was a true transformer, and trust me, he was more than "meets the eye!" He did incredible, powerful things that some of us dream about. Elijah was a reformer and a revivalist, but he was also a martyr. He had to die to himself to be able to do the greater good for the King, God the Father.
Fragments of life's journey unravel like a torn tapestry and become frayed. Its beauty, once worn by noble men and women, are now ready for scraps and used for patch work.
An Eruption in the Spirit
I heard an eruption in the Spirit realm late Saturday night, as if I was being thrusted through the First Heaven into the darkness of space. I sensed time literally stood still. I could see the stars, as far as the eye could see. The Holy Spirit breathed on me and an eruption hit my spirit, like none I could ever recall having happened before.
God said, "A power surge has just shifted into the spheres of influence for those who know Me, and it will be increased in your life everyday!" He says, "Expect Me to move, for My favor will go before you and will follow you."
In this new season of Kingdom alignment, God the Father Himself, has set His eyes and heart on the cities and nations. It is time to see true miracles and signs that the harvest is NOW.
May the Lord, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as He has promised! Deuteronomy 1:11
"You will see a greater sphere of influence," says the Lord. Get ready sons of thunder, daughters of lightening – you will explode onto the scene! Lord, I decree over the Body Deuteronomy 1:11!
I am sensing that the Lord is opening up fresh revelation and spiritual understanding in your region and the ability to pull down strongholds – to see great breakthroughs and to see the captives set free (see Isaiah 61:1-4).
Our Ever Present Help
Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble." Whenever we feel insecure or even unstable, we have to put our trust and confidence in God. Everything we need is in God and He gives us the power which enables us to overcome any obstacle in life. In Him, we have the power and ability to face the uncertainties and adversities of life. Our strength is found in God. That strength refers to God's might when battling the enemy, whatever that may look like.
God is an ever present help in times of trouble and He is sufficient for any situation.
He never leaves our side, so with confidence we can say, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want or fear! He is our refuge!" Refuge pictures a shelter from danger, indicating that God is our true security in the storms of life.
Father, may You continue to strengthen Your sons and daughters with the fresh infilling of the power of Your Holy Spirit. Amen
Till the end,
Angela Greenig
