Paulette ReedThe Unveiling of the Bride

Recently, while praying for a woman, I saw a beautiful veil over her face and light shining all around her. Then, it was as if a hand reached down from Heaven and slowly lifted the veil upward, just to the bottom of her eyes.

Following this vision, Holy Spirit began to speak to me about 2013 being a year of unveiling. It will also be a "year of the camels coming" (the number 3 is the letter gimel in Hebrew, which represents the camel), and we surely don't want to miss seeing them when they show up!

If we decipher this, we see that Hebrew tradition says the earth is now 5,773 years old, meaning 2013 is the year of "ayin gimel" (which is the number 73). In the Hebrew alphabet, 70 is ayin and the pictograph for this number is an eye. The Hebrew ayin means "eye" ? to see and, by extension, to understand and obey ? and is rich in symbolic meaning. We see the first use of ayin in Genesis 3:7 where Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and their "eyes" (ayin) were opened. Here, eyes represent physical eyes, but it can also represent mental and spiritual eyes (see Psalm 121:1, Proverbs 15:3).

Beloved, as the veil is removed from the Bride of Christ, we will "see" more than we ever have before. This is also mentioned in Revelation 1:1, where we learn that things that are withdrawn from view are made visible to show (to the eyes) of His servants what must soon take place.

I believe the light I saw shining around the Bride is the light mentioned in Isaiah 60 and its purpose is summed up in Ephesians 5:13: "But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light."

Pioneering Heroines

In Psalm 68:11 we see a great company of women preachers envisioned by the psalmist. That's a large portion of the Bride of Christ proclaiming good tidings. This powerful Scripture acts as a bridge connecting the past to the present. In the Old Testament we see the Hebrew prophetesses Miriam (see Exodus 15:20-21) and Deborah (see Judges 4:4; 5:1-31) making a way for women of God. And the song of victory shows us there will be an army of women who will proclaim (preach) God's Word after He makes an announcement of promise.

We know that all of the promises of God will be fulfilled. So now is a time to put faith into action as God commanded all Believers to do (see Matthew 28:19-20). The harvest is white, but it can't reap itself. Indeed, the Church is very excited about the second coming of Christ, but we must remember that many have not yet heard of the first. I for one am preaching good tidings!

Esther is a woman that the Bible portrays as a heroine. God used her to preserve His people in the face of severe crisis. We might ask ourselves today, "Are people in severe crisis?" If you answer "yes" to this question, then I propose that the Lord is looking for some heroines who will step into the assignments of God on behalf of their King. And even if the tasks go against some laws (see Esther 4:16), she's ready to say, "I will go... And if I perish, I perish."

Beauty Treatments/Purification

In the Book of Esther we see that the method used to prepare and present women before the king is established. Esther went through some stuff before she was raised up to a position of power in the kingdom. Let's look at a portion of the Book of Esther, pondering some of the prescribed beauty treatments and prerequisites needed before we meet our King face to face.

1. First, we must be prepared to be prepared. We see that Esther had died to all of her earthly ties, ambitions, and plans. With God as our partner, we must dream big since He sees the big picture. Esther 2:7 tells us that she was fair and beautiful. And if we dig deeper, we see that this God-breathed Scripture uses the same terms throughout the Song of Solomon to describe the Bride of the King ? that's you.

2. We must become a Christian to meet our royal King face to face one day. It's very clear in John 3:3 that unless one is born again, they cannot see the Kingdom of God.

3. We learn to recognize the importance of being adopted into a family. Remember that Esther was an orphan, but "Mordecai took her as his own daughter" (Esther 2:7). Our heavenly Father decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ (see Ephesians 1:5 NLT).

4. During seasons of purification or training for reigning, we learn to obey the commands of the King. The first queen refused to obey the earthly king and was removed from his presence.

5. We also learn to honor. Queen Vashti publicly brought disgrace to the king and lost her royal position.

6. We learn to trust God even when He's silent. God is not mentioned one time in the Book of Esther, and yet He orchestrated her steps and knew when she had come to the kingdom for such a time as this.

7. We may experience six-month treatments with oil of myrrh. Myrrh is very precious and valuable, and it was used to embalm bodies for burial. It is both bitter and fragrant, coming from the dried sap of a tree found deep in the desert. When the sap (myrrh) is harvested, it dries hard and is useless until it's pounded or crushed to release its beautiful fragrance. Keeping oil on the "body" for extended periods of time removes anything disagreeable.

8. We may experience six months of treatments with spices. If we note the sequence here, first we see the "Season of Myrrh" and then the "Season of Spice." In the second season the queen could have anything she wanted. It was a season of blessings, abundance, and affluence ? she had to be ready for that.

9. It's important to surrender and remember that the purification treatments were prescribed.

10. Esther 2:9 says that Hegai helped her because she pleased him and found favor with him. In fact, he was the only thing she chose to take with her when it was her turn to meet the king. Since Hegai typifies Holy Spirit, it's awesome to know that we please Him and find favor with Him, knowing that the Kingdom already has all we need.

The Royal Crown

Isn't it awesome to know that purification treatments make us more like the King? For whatever we behold, we become like. "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Esther 2:17 tells us that "The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found favor and kindness with him more than all the virgins [separate, undefiled, and pure ones, by continuation, a bride], so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen." Now, there was a bride who made herself ready!

And later in Esther 5:2, we learn that "When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight; and the king extended to Esther the golden scepter which was in his hand. So Esther came near and touched the top of the scepter." The golden scepter represents the authority of the king. So when a king extends the scepter and offers up to half his kingdom, he is granting authority to the queen, the bride. With that gesture, the king indicates his willingness for the bride to act on his behalf.

Beloved, the heavenly Father is unveiling the beautiful Bride that He's chosen for His Son, to come forth and shine as she goes from glory to glory. He's extending the golden scepter and inviting us into Kingdom living. Some traditions will fade in the light, and all the "Esthers" who have been hidden will come forward to receive the crown of glory. God's Word is eternal and it appears that He's still "fashioning" women and bringing them to men (see Genesis 2:22).

Prophetic Word

Recently, while at a women's conference/banquet, the Lord dropped a prophetic word on me. It came so quickly from Heaven that I was writing on a napkin as fast as I could. I present it to you here.

And the Lord would say:

Many of you, dear daughters of the King, have had great gains and losses and all types of things.

Great victories and failures; and you did all that you could. Isn't it wonderful to know it all works for good?

For even death, it has no sting. Old dreams resurrected, good tidings we bring.

Today is the day, now this is the hour, I am about to throw my girls a great big shower.

Showers of blessings, showers of love, I'm opening the windows of Heaven above.

I'm sending you messengers, Mine bring good news. I'm releasing an army, you have paid your dues.

Get up, get up from under that tree. Will you do it for Me?

I'm releasing an army, do you hear Me again? Get up, get up, run as fast as you can.

Signs and wonders, and miracles galore. You have not because you ask not ? ask Me for more.

Provision, provision! Did I not promise? Look up, My Bride; look up I say. For I'm opening doors, I'm making a way.

The Kingdom of God has all that you need. Remember way back when you planted that seed?

It's harvest, it's harvest, it's harvest time now! I'm speaking to women, and men will say, "Wow!"

"Look at her, there she goes, with bling and glitter and all those bows."

Secret agents I call you, as you arise and shine. A beautiful army, and you are all Mine.

You are My beloved and I am yours. Dear daughters of the King, I am opening doors.

Now run the race and do not stop. Run to the mountain of God, all the way to the top.

Will you run with good tidings?
