An Invitation to Daddy's House
I hear the Lord calling out and saying to all of His sons and daughters, "Come to Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. It's time to come to My house for a visit. I have so many things I want to show you and share with you from My heart to yours. Things you have not seen or heard before. Things that will bring life and renew your spirit in the midst of what seems like things that have been draining your spirit. I am bringing you into a new place within My house. There is so much to explore and I will be your personal escort as I welcome you in with open arms. Come and sit at My table where I will feed you the richest of foods and fill you with the sweetest and finest wine of My Spirit that will cause you to laugh and let go of every burden and care. This is where you belong, in Daddy's house," says the Lord.
God is beckoning His people to come and rest at His feet during this time and season of uncertainty and instability in the world. It is not a season of inactivity, but rather a season of refreshment, reflection and realignment of focus, especially from the world's culture and system that has a tendency to wear down those who are caught by its distractions to divine focus. He knows that many are hard-pressed because of the times we live in. Some are literally being squeezed from the very life of God within them because the way is hard. He knows that many have been discouraged but Jesus said in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
God is Bringing Times of Refreshing
God is a God of comfort and no matter what we are going through, the Holy Spirit is right there to be our Helper when we cry out to Him. God has given us an invitation to come and rest in Daddy's house. It is our place of prayer, our place of worship and our place of refuge as we rest in Him and put our sights and focus upon Him. The Lord is saying, "There will always be tribulations and afflictions, but I have provided a way out for you if you will listen and hear the waters of life already flowing inside of you. I created that fountain of life within you. I am the very fountain of life that you can drink from – a perpetual fountain that never runs dry. You can drink of My fountain any time of the day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I built it within your DNA when you gave your life over to Me and I breathed My Holy Spirit upon you.
"I am bringing times of refreshing. Come, learn to be children again and set aside the burdens of this world, just for a little while, so that you can be renewed and strengthened once again and ready for the battlefield in due season. What is a warrior if you are worn out, beaten and defeated? My warriors are trained and armed not only for battle but also trained to rest, drink, and visit with Me, being skilled in knowing when to fight and when to rest. I care about every part of your life, from the little things to the big things, so don't be afraid to talk to Me about it. I am listening. I have your best interest at heart. I care for you."
More and more the Lord is making heavenly places a reality for those who will take the time to spend with God and allow Him to take them there. Ephesians 2:6-7 says that God, "raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."
Human kindness doesn't even compare to God's kindness and He has lavished His love upon us by giving us these special resting places where we can come and sit at His feet and cast all our cares upon Him. The Lord says, "I have not forgotten your hard labors of love and I will restore everything that has been stolen when you come into My house, My presence. It is not something that can be understood with your natural mind, but those that worship Me must worship Me in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23), and in that place of the Spirit is where I live, right in the center of your heart, just as you are in the center of Mine. You have been afraid and concerned," the Lord says, "and I understand. My acts of kindness are not given to you because you have done everything right, but on the contrary, to give you hope and assistance in the very places that you need it most. I am causing an alignment from Heaven to earth on your behalf so that the heavens can pour out every rich blessing that I have stored up for you. It is here. Lift up your heads. Be encouraged. Receive it. It is yours!"
There is Great Stability In Daddy's House
God is a master at keeping that which concerns us, even our very lives. Sometimes in the middle of a battle, we easily forget how much He really does protect and care for us. Psalm 121:3 promises that, "He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber." Even though God offers a place for us to sleep and to rest in His arms and in the very house of His heart, He never sleeps and never stops watching over us. When we stay close in the bosom of His heart, we are at the most stable and safest place we can be, far away from the enemy's scent and strategies.
There is great stability in Daddy's house. Every child feels safe and secure in a home where their parents are always watching over them, loving them, caring for them and providing every need. They feel safe and secure and God is the same way, only much more to those who love and worship Him. Even to those who have strayed away, God doesn't stop watching, loving and caring, whether you realize it or not. God especially cares for those you dearly love who have strayed away. God cares about your family and loved ones and is a priority of His heart concerning you. Because they are a concern to you, they are a concern to God. God is a family-oriented God. He instituted the family, created it, supports it and continues to uphold it. God loves families. He loves YOUR family.
Sometimes we feel lonely and even though we may have family members that love us and even church members that support us, there are times that loneliness can strike us and can be crippling. Sometimes the loneliness we feel can be the loneliness that God is feeling. When we don't spend time with Him and come to Daddy's house to visit in prayer and in worship, I believe the heart of God gets very lonely because He misses us. We can sometimes feel emptiness in our hearts simply because we are feeling God's very emotions; we may not even realize that it is God who is longing for us and feeling lonely because He is missing us terribly. We mistakenly think it is our own loneliness and we forget to stop and think, "This might be what God is feeling."
In Psalm 68:6, God clearly is concerned about our loneliness and promises that, "God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell…" When you read two verses before it, you see a prerequisite that motivates God to place us in that secure and homey place for us in the heavenlies. Psalm 68:4 says, "Sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts--His name is the Lord--be in high spirits and glory before Him!" This reveals an act of faith on our part. We know from Scripture that without faith it is impossible to please God, but what God reveals in Psalm 68:4 is that it is not hard to please the Lord at all. So therefore, pleasing God and tapping into His heart and will for us can be as simple as throwing up our hands in the air, yielding our hearts to Him in sincere praise and thanksgiving.
Psalm 68:4 clearly reveals this will open a highway in the Heaven's for God to be able to deliver every blessing to us on the spot such as deliverance, healing, encouragement, anointing, wisdom, answers to prayer and a whole plethora of heavenly blessings that belong to us simply for the act of self-surrender and giving Him honor, even in the hard times. This causes a shift in the spirit, gets the attention of God and causes His angels to go to work on our behalf to deliver the very breakthrough that we need right into our hands.
When You Hear Me Calling You, Run!
God is clearly saying in this time and season, "Come and linger, linger with Me and let Me fill you with the pleasures of My house, My love, My rest, My peace and My joy. Let Me pour into you what your heart has been longing for, that which can only satisfy, that which is real and from My throne room. There is nothing this world has to offer you that can give you eternal satisfaction. But on the contrary, I have given you everything you need and your storehouse is full of every blessing that is needed for any time of the day. Come into My house, your Daddy's house and rest, play, laugh and dine with Me. I am bringing you into a new dimension of freedom that you have not had before, a place of freedom where you can just be yourself and where I will share with you the secrets of My heart that resurrect anything the enemy has meant for death and destruction. I did not come to destroy you but to give you life.
"I know there are pressures all around you trying to pull your attention away from Me, but remember this – My Spirit, My love and the wooing of My heart toward you is much stronger. I have given you the ability to not only listen and hear when I draw you to Myself, but I also give you the ability to obey and come running to Me. When you hear Me calling you, run! Run as fast as you can and every distraction will not be able to catch up with you because I have given you the speed of lighting in your heart to surpass and hurdle every hindrance. That holy fire in your bones will bypass any outside pull or voice that would draw you away from Me. Listen, and run when I say run! You will find yourself right in the middle of My heart, your Daddy's house. I will be waiting for you there," says the Lord.
