An Angel of Grace said, "It's Time to Cross Over"
At 5:55 A.M. on August 1st an angel of grace woke me up by its very presence, standing in my room. The angel spoke these words: "It's time to cross over." I knew that this messenger from God was talking about crossing over to a new spiritual time where things that God has promised are going to begin to take place at an accelerated pace with a greater amount of God's provision.
But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valley that drinks rain from Heaven. Deuteronomy 11:11 NIV
The very things that God has promised are now starting to be revealed. I believe the angel's timing is instructive: 5:55 A.M., because the number five represents grace. It will take extra grace because God is moving on people right now in ways that may seem strange and unusual. We are going to see a revival but it will not be the way we think. Some Christians have become too legalistic and rule-oriented. God is calling for a high degree of grace for people who have been rejected and hurt by religion.
There is a Connection with 2004 and Now
There was a major interruption in what God began doing back in 2004. Many people were not ready for the level of His power and love. God took many people into a time of wilderness and they have felt forgotten. But God has not forgotten what He has promised you. Things that started in 2004 but then stopped are coming back around once again. It may not happen in the same way or as you expect but God is now beginning to fulfill these prophetic promises at a higher level than before.
August through September is a Time of Completion
August is a transitional month. It is the last month of the Jewish calendar as Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, falls in September. August is the 8th month on our calendar and eight represents new beginnings.
We are transitioning now through September 25th and bringing closure to an old season. Between now and September 25 is a strategic time to complete things that God has called us to do. After September 25th (Yom Kippur, The Day of Atonement), God will be releasing new assignments, gifts and promotions that will initiate a great deal of movement at a Kingdom level.
Finding New Ways to Operate
God has been speaking to me all year about the need for us all to find a new way to operate as individual Christians, churches, and businesses. Here are a few examples of how we can do this. It is easy to see that many people have a negative view of Christianity today. We can help change this by demonstrating God's love and power to people around us everywhere we go. One-by-one we can have positive, spirit-lead encounters that will get people's attention on the fact that God loves and cares about them. Use your prophetic gift of encouragement on people around you in your everyday life.
Here's another example of finding new ways to operate in our spiritual gifts. One of my stronger gifts is hearing God. Over ten years ago I discovered that I could get short, accurate prophetic words for people really quickly. I used it to train others as a means of sharing God's love.
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:14 NIV
As in Hebrews 5:14, by constantly using your prophetic gifts, you can train yourself to discern and hear God's voice. Plus, the more you practice at anything, the better you will get at it. My prophetic teams and I would stand in front of people and receive short, to-the-point words from God. By finding new ways to operate in your current spiritual gifts, you have the potential to touch more people at a greater level than you may realize.
Focus On What We Do Best
This is a time to begin to focus on what we do best. Many people have been generalists, that is, "all things to all people." It is time to begin to do the things that we were created to do. So what are the things you do best? If you don't know, ask God to show you. Ask people around you and start taking notes and journaling about what brings passion and has the most results. These are hidden clues. Begin to narrow your focus on what you do best and train yourself (for example: read a book, take a class). Use your God-given spiritual gifts and train yourself as if you were training for a race or the Olympics.
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24 NIV
Watchmen On the Wall
I have been awakened at 3 A.M. several times over the past month. I heard God speak Ezekiel 3:17 about the need to have prophetic watchmen on the wall. We are in a time right now where God is calling us back to the prophetic watch. Many prophetic intercessors have fallen asleep or focused too much on watching for judgment. This is a time to watch and pray to stop tragedies, release blessings, and gain prophetic insight from Heaven. Amos 3:7 says that God does not do anything without first revealing it to His prophets. We need prophetic intercessors like never before. Watch for strategies and revelation to be revealed through dreams over the next few months.
I pray that God would reveal how you can easily cross over and take advantage of this new time for God to bless you in what you do best. I am so encouraged to be reshaping an old gift and re-tooling it for the Kingdom in a new way. My hope is that you are encouraged as well!
