ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH - A VISION OF GOLD COINS

Catherine Brown
Jul 14, 2000

Steve, I prayed last night after reading your note and asked the Holy Spirit for revelation regarding how we might pray for Israel at this time. The following is the vision that the Lord gave to me. I am praying for the fullness of the interpretation at this time, but felt it was imperative to send this to you before you depart for Israel.

Every blessing Catherine

P.S. Around two months ago I had a vision of Israel in which I saw gatherings of angels and demons around Israel, and the Spirit spoke to me and instructed me that "the battle lines were being drawn over the land of Israel". I then saw Jesus walking amongst the Arab people and they seemed to be fleeing from danger. Jesus Himself drew the Arab people under His protection and was their strong defender.

THE GOLD COINS

I saw a vision of the land of Israel and on the land I noticed a pile of gold coins. Beside this pile of gold coins, I could see an Arab woman dressed in black, the only visible part of her body was her eyes. She glanced at the pile of gold coins and immediately covered her eyes with her veil. She glanced again at the coins and this time was physically sick. The sight of the coins repulsed her. The gold coins symbolize the malady of materialism affecting the church and also her (the church') pitiful adornment in rags of self-righteousness.

THE CHURCH HAS EXCHANGED HER BRIDAL GARMENTS FOR A TALENT OF GOLD --And a Trumpet call to Intercessors throughout the World

The Spirit impressed this thought to my mind "The Church has exchanged her bridal garments for a talent of gold". With this came another vision, and this time I saw the pile of gold coins in one half of a huge pair of scales, the other half being empty. I sensed the holy and just judgment of God was imminent and with trembling and great fear I sought the Lord's Wisdom. The scales were shown over Israel and I believe this speaks of a significant kingdom moment. It is a trumpet call to intercessors throughout the world to come and stand in the gap for the whole of Israel - the people (Jews and Arabs) and the land that God has predestined to the descendants of Abraham.

DO NOT PETITION THE THRONE OF GRACE FROM A PLACE OF SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS

Children of God, we dare not petition the throne of Grace from a posture of self-righteousness. Let us repent for the defilement of the priesthood, pleading that the Blood of the Lamb will cleanse us. God is faithful to forgive if we will but humble ourselves under His mighty hand. In so doing, He is able to exalt us, by conforming us to the image of His precious and Righteous Son. From this posture of humility, we may come before God on behalf of the church in Israel, pleading for mercy, pleading for the veil to be removed from our precious Jewish brothers and sisters hearts', pleading for our precious Arab brothers and sisters to turn from the abomination of Islam and embrace Jesus.

THE BALANCE OF THE SCALES IS CHANGED BY WEEPING

I began to cry and I asked the Lord "what should we do?". I found myself actually sitting in the empty scale basin and the tears that I wept began to fill the scale. I looked up to heaven and saw Jesus looking down with great compassion in His eyes, and He too, was weeping. As we wept together the balance of the scales was changed.

God calls us to be His prayer partners. He calls us to defining moments in history, moments that mark eternity. He calls us in our smallness to yield to His mighty Spirit. He calls us in our weakness to be vessels of His grace. He calls us to pray in the mercy for those we will one day embrace in heaven, yet may never meet this side of eternity. He is calling us at this time to extraordinary prayer on behalf of the people and the land of Israel.

PARABLE OF THE "TALENTS"

"Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on a journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained give more. So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money"

"After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master he said you have entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.' "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'.

"Then the man who had received the one talent came . . . So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

"His master replied, 'You wicked lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

"Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' Math 25 14-30

REPENTANCE FOR MISUSE OF OUR ONE TALENT OF GOLD

I offer this vision to you as one intercessor to another. I believe that time is of the essence and we (the church) must repent for our misuse of the 'talent of gold' that the Lord has entrusted to us. We have abused what He has given to us.

The Lord has entrusted us with a 'talent of gold', yet for the most part we have hidden His treasure from the world. In our hearts, we have been like the servant with only one talent of gold, for we have buried the gold of His Presence under fields of fear, and have withheld heaven's treasury from the hungry and thirsty, preferring to selfishly indulge ourselves whilst not meeting the need of others. Surely Jesus has entrusted us with His blessings in order that we would be His servants and reach out in love to a dying world? It is the Lord's delight to see His Righteousness multiplied. He calls us to live in His abundance, but to do so we must choose to be those who will give without counting the cost. We must learn to be faithful with little, in order that we are able to be entrusted with more.

I cannot bear the thought of Jesus saying "worthless servant" because I was too lazy or too complacent with the 'talent' He has entrusted to me. As His Bride we must be willing to turn from our self-righteousness condition and tendency towards materialism and instead embrace His righteousness.
