Angie Stolba: What to Do When You Face the Impossible
Sep 27, 2025
Cultivate a Heart of Gratitude: What You Focus on Is Key "Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT) The Lord has been encouraging me to cultivate a heart of gratitude, regardless of circumstances. We truly have so much to be thankful for, and what we choose to put our focus on is key! If I look at a life situation that is challenging, and I solely focus on what I perceive as obstacles and hardness, then my thoughts will align with doubt and unbelief. However, by actively flipping the situation and allowing myself to meditate on the promises of God, the challenging situation now becomes an opportunity for God to move and do the miraculous! Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit than the others. Instead of looking at what seemed to be an impossible situation, they chose to magnify the Lord! Instead of focusing on the giants in the land, they focused their attention on just how big their God was!
"But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. 'Let's go at once to take the land,' he said. 'We can certainly conquer it!'" (Numbers 13:27–30 NLT) Choose to Be Bold! The Bible is full of so many stories where the children of God faced impossible circumstances— Esther against Haman, David against Goliath, Moses against Pharaoh... Yet as they chose to be bold and courageous, knowing that God was with them, they overcame! What the enemy meant for their harm actually became the very tool God used for the victory of His chosen people! It was turned for good and the saving of many lives! Our Father will literally prepare a table of blessing right in the middle of our enemies! "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over." (Psalm 23:5 NKJV) Mighty Breakthrough I hear the Lord saying, "My mighty breakthrough is coming! I see that you have been contending for so long, yet you have kept your heart pure before Me! "Continue to stay in an attitude of faith! Be encouraged, and do not be tempted to uproot your harvest that is truly coming quickly! "Speak life in all situations, and praise Me even in the waiting!
"Speak blessings over those who rise up against you. Be encouraged, for I am faithful! My Word is true and will never return void! "I am not limited in the ways that I can move! Expect Me to move in ways that you do not expect! (Photo via Pexels) "Draw on My faithfulness from the past season and allow yourself to hope once again! Cultivate a heart of gratitude, and allow the atmosphere to be filled with your praise to Me! "Truly, great and mighty things are about to manifest!" "The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate, and go out by it; their king will pass before them, with the LORD at their head." (Micah 2:13 NKJV) Pass Through the Gate! The Lord says, "Your breakthrough is closer than ever! Pass through the gate! Refuse to come into agreement with the lies of the enemy. Flip your situation from impossible to being the open gate for Me to show up to do the impossible! "Things are aligning and quickly, shifting in your favor! I am leading you out of your extended wilderness season. Resist the urge to murmur and complain. This will only keep you stuck in your current circumstances. Resist the pressure and distractions of the enemy, and focus on Me! "Like Moses at the Red Sea, boldly walk forward in faith, for I am about to come through for you in a mighty way! Pass through the gate, for your victory is secured," says the Lord of the Hosts! "For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." (Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV)
