Steve Porter: When Tears Turn to Fire

The Lord Will Lift Up a Standard Against the Enemy "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19 NKJV)
My heart aches. I weep for her. Was she a Christian? Was she ready to meet her Maker? We do not know. But I pray, oh, I pray, that in those last moments she whispered the name of Jesus... that she cried out to the One who hears even the faintest cry. For He is merciful. He saves to the uttermost. He rescues at the edge of eternity. And then... another tragedy.
Whether or not you agreed with every word he spoke, no one deserves to be murdered for their politics, not in this country—not anywhere. America was meant to be a land where ideas can be debated, not destroyed. (Photo of Charlie Kirk via Flickr) Satan Has Overplayed His Hand Beloved, the Bible foretold days like this. Just as it was in the days of Noah... violence filled the earth. "For just as the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be." (Matthew 24:37 LSB) "Now God saw that the earth had become corrupt and was filled with violence." (Genesis 6:11 NLT) And here we are. Murders, massacres, and barbaric acts are splashed across every headline. It is not just America; blood cries from every corner of the globe, with lawlessness rising like a dark tide. Demonic spirits of anarchy have been released into the nations. And yet... I believe satan has overplayed his hand. Do you hear me, dear ones? The enemy's fury has exposed his weakness. Darkness always trembles before the dawn. Out of this chaos will come a move of God unlike anything we have seen. I believe it. I feel it. Heaven is already stirring. A Generation Will Arise! Young men and women will rise. College campuses will burn, not with riot fires but with holy fire. A generation touched by God Almighty will step forward carrying mantles left behind. Some will even pick up what Charlie carried, becoming what we call "a holy headache" to the forces of darkness and their minions. The enemy thought he could silence a voice, but instead he will awaken a thousand more. The Spark of a New Beginning
Beloved, we must pray it in. We must lift our hands, bend our knees, and cry out for the great harvest that is already upon us. The blood of the innocent is crying out from the ground. Let our prayers rise louder still. For every act of hatred, let there be a flood of love. For every voice silenced, let there be a chorus awakened. For every life stolen, let there be a multitude saved. Iryna's short life. Charlie's tragic end. These tears are not wasted. Heaven gathers them. Out of sorrow will come songs, out of ashes will come beauty, out of blood-stained soil will spring revival fire. "Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; with the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself." (Psalm 76:10 NKJV) The great harvest is near. The storm clouds of violence will only drive us deeper into the ark of Christ. And when His wind blows across this land, America will know, once again, the Lord still reigns.
