Joshua Fowler: Rivers Rising

Recently, I was invited to minister at a church in Ohio. As I walked through the halls surrounding the sanctuary before service, I suddenly entered an open vision. I saw waters rising and rushing against the hallways. The waters intensified until they became a flood. Over and over, I heard the Holy Spirit declare, "The rivers are rising! Rivers rising! Rivers rising!" As the vision unfolded, I saw rivers rising throughout America. Waters surged through Washington, D.C., filling the White House, the Capitol, the Supreme Court, and other government buildings. These rivers then flowed into state capitals, through cities and towns, and across nations around the world. I saw them flooding schools and universities, sweeping through the marketplace—businesses, malls, and shopping centers. They poured into streets, parking lots, and open fields. The rivers rose across the U.K., Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, Israel, the Middle East, Canada, Mexico, and the islands of the seas. Wave after wave of greater glory crashed over the nations. Everywhere the rivers flowed, awakening, revival, and reformation broke out. Supernatural signs and wonders multiplied. Churches were so overcome by these rivers of glory that they abandoned their own agendas and surrendered to the flow of the Holy Spirit. Entire cities and nations were baptized and immersed in this divine flood. A New Season of Ezekiel 47 Then I heard the Lord say, "It has begun. The rivers are rising, and they will continue to rise until I return. Just as President Trump is known as number 47, so has the United States now entered a new season of Ezekiel 47. Nations that align with what I am doing will experience the fullness of this river.
"Go beyond head knowledge and dive into the depths of My Spirit. Allow My rivers to carry you where I am leading. Then My rivers will rise from within you and flow out of you for the healing of the nations," declares the Lord. "Rivers Rising" Revelation After this vision, the Lord instructed me to study and release a fresh prophetic message entitled "Rivers Rising." He directed me first to Ezekiel 47 and then to the four river heads in Genesis 2. As I searched through more than thirty-seven years of personal sermon archives, I realized I had never once preached or even referenced these four rivers. The Lord revealed that this word was reserved for now. Here are a few of the insights He gave me. The key Scriptures are Genesis 2:10–14 (the four rivers flowing from Eden), and Ezekiel 47:1–12 (the river from the temple, bringing healing and life). The Prophetic Significance of the Rivers Each of the four rivers flowing from Eden represents a dimension of the Spirit of God. Together, they paint a prophetic picture of what He is releasing in this hour. 1. Pishon = increase. It represents abundance, wealth, and overflow. Prophetic word: God is releasing increase in provision, wisdom, and resources. 2. Gihon = bursting forth/breakthrough. It represents the breaking forth of new things. Prophetic Word: "I am doing a new thing—it is bursting forth! Can you not perceive it?" (see Isaiah 43:19). Breakthroughs are coming to families, churches, and nations.
Prophetic word: This is a suddenly season! Swift changes, accelerated harvests, and manifested promises are being released. (Photo via Pexels) Get ready for manifestation, fulfillment, and favor! 4. Perath (Euphrates) = fruitfulness. It represents multiplication and harvest. Prophetic word: Wherever this river flows, healing, life, and fruitfulness will abound (Ezekiel 47). Nations will experience revival and reformation as God's river rises. Scripture References: • "There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God." (Psalm 46:4 NASB1995) • "Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of Heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light." (James 1:17 MSG) • "The rivers of God overflow and enrich it [the earth]." (Psalm 65:9 TPT, brackets added) • The river of life is flowing from the throne, bringing healing to the nations (Revelation 22:1–2 TPT). • "Believe in Me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being." (John 7:38 TPT) "Rivers Rising" Decree We decree that the rivers are rising in Jesus' name. We prophesy that rivers of glory are overtaking our families, ministries, cities, and the nations. We decree rivers of increase, rivers of rapid acceleration, rivers of breakthrough, rivers of fruitfulness are flooding every area of our lives in Jesus' name. We declare that out of our innermost being shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). Everywhere we go and everyone we encounter shall be transformed by His presence flowing through us, in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
