The Need for Strategy and Wisdom for This Season

The Lord gave me a dream this morning on the timeline of His calendar for the Body of Christ. In the dream, I was in a church and people were saying, "It's a new season!" It felt like they were rejoicing and excited. They began to do a countdown like this: "9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." As they were counting, I sat up and said, "Yes, it's a new season!" Then I had a lady come up close to my face and say, "But no one is asking questions right now..." and she turned and walked away. Then, I woke up. I pondered on both aspects of this dream.

I believe the lady in my dream revealed what is actually happening right now. It was a word of knowledge. Her closeness to my face revealed the close proximity in this season. The face represents the heart; we can see character and emotions upon the face. Features convey messages, face-to-face intimacy, and reflection. From this dream, I realized how we need to be asking the Lord for seasonal strategy and wisdom, not just announcing them (the seasons). The Lord gives prophetic direction, and we need to heed it.

Qayits: A Season of Preparation, Provision, and Celebration

We crossed over into the timeline of summer known as "qayits" in the Hebrew, and the new Hebrew month Tammuz. The timeline of the Lord is based on a lunar calendar, not a solar calendar. I am going to share some important prophetic details on this timeline and how we can partner with the Spirit of the Lord in this hour based on the times and seasons.

In Strong's Concordance, qayits means "summer," "fruit," "house," "harvest (as the crop)," and "warm, dry season." There is season framework all throughout Scripture that we can see. It speaks of seedtime and harvest.

There are many Scriptures that speak about summer, what it means, and how we can prepare in this time. As I studied, I came upon this Scripture that speaks directly to divine order and reestablishes confidence in God's season framework in Scripture:

"You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have created summer and winter." (Psalm 74:17 NASB)

The season is not just a meteorological reality but a deliberate ordinance of God that showcases order and sovereignty.

As I searched further on, I saw Scriptures in Proverbs and Jeremiah. In Proverbs 6:8, it commends the ant: "It prepares its provisions in summer; it gathers its food at harvest" (BSB). This underscores diligence in utilizing God-given windows of productivity. This is provision and celebration.

Then we see in Jeremiah 40:10 instructions to "gather wine, summer fruit, and oil, and put them in your storage vessels" (NASB).

This illustrates how summer fruit was essential to store for leaner months. The gathering of this fruit served for both celebration and survival, a twofold blessing from the Lord.

There are many more Scriptures that speak of summer which carry prophetic imagery for us to apply in our lives. (Photo via Pexels)

An Awakening in July

I am going to share a small breakdown of what I believe the Lord is speaking now and over the next four months, but before I do that, I want to reshare part of a word I released on December 28, 2024:

"I saw JULY and a volcano eruption in the spirit, and I saw it over July. And I heard, 'AN AWAKENING.' Prophetically, I believe it signifies a sudden, powerful release of what has been dormant! Just as a volcano erupts with intensity, this awakening can be a divine eruption to transform lives and ignite revival in the lives of people. I do believe some of these natural events can definitely manifest in the natural—waves, eruptions, fires and the like."

What Does This Season of Preparation Mean for Us?

What does the "Season of Preparation" mean for us as we continue through Tammuz and the next four months? We must remember, Tammuz historically marks a time of exposure, testing, and transition, based upon what happened during this time frame within in Scripture.

In Scripture, the 17th of Tammuz marks the day Moses broke the tablets after the sin of the golden calf (Exodus 32). It is a reminder that what's hidden in the hearts of people will be brought into the light.

It's also the month when Jerusalem's walls were breached, leading to the eventual destruction of the temple. This reminds us to guard our spiritual gates. We are in a time where we must fortify our spiritual foundations, discern what may be trying to breach our lives, and purify our altars before the Lord. This month, alone, is a time to guard the heart and the eyes.

The summer (in this context) is associated with ripening of fruit. We can see this as a metaphor for how God watches closely to see what has matured in us. Jeremiah 40:10 speaks of "summer fruit," symbolizing a harvest of what has been planted, whether it is good or bad. Harvest comes from both. We can honestly say, spiritually, this is a season where God inspects the fruit of previous seasons in our lives. What has been sown in prayer, obedience, disobedience, or compromise? There is a harvest. It's also fair to say that this is a "fruit inspection" season! What you've sown will begin to manifest. The Lord is calling His people to align their fruit with His Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) and uproot what doesn't belong (Matthew 15:13).

Many of us will cross through the month of Tammuz into our Kingdom commission. We will go through a narrow place to get to a broader, vast place. It will require us to guard our hearts and our eyes. This preparation is both internal and external. We must trust the Lord and worship while we wait. This is a time of new beginnings, divine order, action, creativity, focus, and VISION. Very imperative characteristics for this month are that we don't speak or receive evil reports; we worship while we wait; we walk by faith not by sight; we use godly provision that He gives for the vision He has for our lives; we choose to keep our eyes on Him. It is a season where we must allow the fruits of the Spirit to be cultivated deeper in our lives. (Photo via Unsplash)

In summery, here's what the Spirit is saying to you and me this month:

• Examine the gates and shut every compromised gate (Nehemiah 7:3).

• Guard the altars. Let us rebuild our personal altar of prayer, worship, and the Word. Let no strange fire be on the altar (Leviticus 10:1–3)!

• Strengthen the walls. Be in intercession. Walls represent both identity and protection.

• Discern the fruit. We can ask the Lord, "What is ripening in me? What fruit is being revealed?" Align with the Spirit.

Divine Preparation, Pruning, and Positioning

This is a season of divine preparation, pruning, and positioning. The Lord is inspecting the fruit of His people. What is impure, He will remove. What is yielded, He will multiply. So, we prepare in the spirit and the natural. We are in a new season, and when new seasons come they bring forth transition, change, breakthrough, and new opportunities. We pray for any idols in our lives to be exposed and demolished. Stay focused and stay the course!

May we continue to inquire of the Lord, asking questions about His timeline. We can ask the Lord and seek Him for such answers. As the Body of Christ, we should desire to flow in the wisdom and understanding of times and seasons. There will be those who will see, hear, listen, and obey. The Lord speaks to us through such times and seasons. We will know what to do and what not to do.

Let us decree today that this is our season of preparation and positioning. We will align with Heaven. We will bear righteous fruit and walk in divine order. Nothing shall hinder our assignments. In Jesus' name, amen!
