Ryan Johnson: "An Emergence of the Faithful Ones"
Dec 9, 2023
Repentance Will Be the Fruit of the Glory In August of 2023, the Lord gave me a word concerning a wave of glory that would be coming:
This wave of glory is not about punishment; it is not about condemnation. This wave of glory is about a necessary alignment for the Body. This wave of glory isn't a public spectacle of guilt and shame. This wave is about positioning individuals to adhere to the conviction of Holy Spirit to return home to the Father and no longer remain a part of the world for cultural acceptance. God is not pleased or glorified by our sins. He is magnified through genuine, humble, full repentance. When we bring Him the proper sacrifice, our sin is redeemed and His glory is revealed throughout our lives. When the world witnesses the failures of men and women who profess to be Christians, the flaws that have been established within many churches tend to be exposed. The world pounces on these moments to criticize church leaders, ministries, and individuals. The failures, mistakes, poor decisions, lack of discernment, spiritual or verbal abuse, etc. are the things that the world loves to dissect and use as evidence as to why God isn't real or why God isn't good. An Emergence of the Faithful Ones While in prayer, the Lord spoke the following to me: "There will be an emergence of the faithful ones." What does this mean? Specifically, what does this mean for the Body of Christ? To be faithful means we are to be reliable, steadfast, and unwavering in our walk with the Lord. Faithfulness is demonstrated as an attribute of God, and it's a positive characteristic in His people (see Galatians 5:22). Scripture speaks of God's faithfulness when He says He will do something and He does it, even when it seems impossible. If God were unfaithful, He would not be God, and we could not rely on any of His promises. 1 Kings tells us, "... Not one word has failed of all the good promises He gave through His servant Moses..." (1 Kings 8:56). God is reliable, steadfast, and unwavering. God does not have to work at being faithful; He is faithful. Faithfulness is an essential part of who He is.
1. HANNAH. She trusted that God was faithful, even when she was facing barrenness. As a result of her faithfulness, the prophet Samuel was born. (Photo via Unsplash) 2. RUTH. She honored her mother-in-law and was faithful to her, resulting in the lineage of Christ being preserved. 3. DAVID. Despite his sinful choices, he was still faithful to the Lord and known as a man after God's heart. 4. ESTHER. She was faithful to God and His leading in her life. Even in her role as queen, she was humble and risked her own life to save her people from death. 5. NOAH. He was faithful to God's leading, resulting in humanity being saved physically and a continuation of God's promise of salvation for all. 6. JOSEPH. Even though Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, lied about by Potiphar's wife, and forgotten in prison by the baker and candlestick maker, he was faithful. Those are just a few who were considered faithful. The Faithfulness of Silas As I continued to seek the Lord about the word He spoke to me regarding an "emergence of the faithful ones," I was directed to Silas. When we hear his name, the majority of the time, it is usually connected with the apostle Paul – specifically during the time that they were imprisoned and began to sing. What is the Lord saying? According to the Bible and Church history, Silas was known to be a leader in the early Church. Silas was known to be on the missionary journey with Paul, and 1 Peter 5:12 describes him as a "faithful brother." Silas was a Hellenistic Jew and a Roman citizen. We are first introduced to Silas as a leader and teacher in the Jerusalem church. The Jerusalem Council chose Silas, along with Judas, to help Paul and Barnabas communicate the Council's decision to Antioch. It would be on Paul's second missionary journey that he chose Silas to go with him due to the disagreement that Paul had with Barnabas concerning John Mark.
Using Those on the Sidelines Here is where I began to understand what the Lord meant when He said, "There will be an emergence of the faithful ones." I believe that we are going to see individuals who have been on the sidelines – those who have been hidden, those who don't have major platforms, and those who rarely have been heard from. The Lord is going to use these individuals in this hour (as He did Silas) to shake the spiritual jail cells in the lives of others, so that they can walk through open doors. We must remember that, according to the Jewish calendar, we are in the year of the open door (5784). How fitting is it that it was God who opened the prison doors (not man), and the Jewish year of the open door is about what God opens, not what man opens! The faithful ones will emerge, and we will see God's hand move in redemption and reconciliation in the homes of families, not just isolated individuals. We will see entire homes come to the Lord through the salvation of Jesus Christ. They will be born-again. They will be baptized in Spirit and water. We will see God bring forth the faithful ones to demonstrate to the world His glory. God always has a remnant that reveals the goodness of God. Amid the failures of mankind, God will reveal the faithful ones. Get ready for the shaking to continue, as it is needed to open doors that only God can open for the movement of His Spirit on mankind. God will be glorified, and He will use the faithful ones! Whatever you do, don't miss another ELIJAH LIST email! Subscribe at this link: elijahlist.com/subscribe.
