Jamie Rohrbaugh: "Women - Arise into Your Writing and Preaching Anointing"

Laborers in the Harvest Fields

Are you a woman who dreams of writing and preaching? If so, the Lord gave me an encouraging word for you today!

One of Jesus' heart-cries was that Father God would thrust out laborers into the harvest field (Matthew 9:38). He wants us all to put our hands to the plow and labor for His Kingdom. It is not until the Gospel is preached to all the world that the end can come (Matthew 24:14) and Jesus can return. I believe that the Lord desperately wants women in particular to rise up into the writing and preaching ministries.

Recently, the Lord gripped my spirit with Psalm 68:7-13, which says: "O God, when You went out before Your people, when You marched through the wilderness, selah, the earth shook; the heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, when it was weary. Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor.

"The Lord gave the Word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it: 'Kings of armies flee, they flee, and she who remains at home divides the spoil. Though you lie down among the sheepfolds, you will be like the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.'"

I believe this verse is of huge prophetic significance for women. In Hebrew, the word "company" in the phrase "great was the company who proclaimed it" (verse 11) is feminine. It refers to women – a great company of women. In the NIV version of verse 11 it says, "The Lord announces the Word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng..." You also see the reference to women again in verse 12 when David wrote, "And SHE who remains at home divides the spoil..." (emphasis mine).

So what's the prophetic significance of this in this hour?

The Healing in His Rain

The above passage describes a time when God went out before His people to war. He marched in front of them to battle, and His power was so evident that there was an earthquake and a rain shower! In fact, it rained so much and so beautifully that the rain healed His people from their weariness. It was a plentiful, healing rain – not a harsh rain. God used that rain to confirm His promises to His people, and He provided everything they needed at the same time.

In this battle, the Lord gave His word about the battle TO WOMEN. That's right. The WOMEN then went and sounded His battle cry. They proclaimed the Word and victory of the Lord. They also proclaimed that the women who remained at home got the spoils of war.

It gets better. Look at verse 13, which says: "Though you lie down among the sheepfolds, you will be like the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold'" (Psalm 68:13). (Photo via Unsplash)

This passage is HUGE in this hour. Please read each phrase and its prophetic meaning for you with me:

"Though You Lie Down Among the Sheepfolds"

This means you will be with the flock of sheep. You'll look like the flock of sheep. You'll blend in with the sheep, in the same flock.

Many of you feel like there's nothing special about yourselves. You blend in – or maybe you just want to blend in. Either way, you ARE supposed to be in community with other Believers, so it's good that you will be among the sheep. That's the right place for you to be. But, there's also more for you.

"You Will Be Like the Wings"

Even though you blend in with the flock, you will rise higher. You will fly. Psalm 91:14 says, "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name."

You may be among the sheep, sheltered and safe as you should be, but Father God is going to lift you high as well. These things can happen at the same time. You will live in community, but you will still soar.

"Of a Dove"

Doves are birds of peace. They are also one symbol of the Holy Spirit. You will have peace and shalom, and you will be filled with the Holy Spirit's anointing.

"Covered with Silver"

Note that the entire wing of the dove is covered with silver. This is representative of everything you do prospering – everything. Remember that God promised in Deuteronomy 28:12 to bless ALL the work of your hands: "The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow."

Silver also represents redemption. I believe God is redeeming people from all the years the locusts have eaten. He's making things work for people who have failed at many things before. He's helping people walk in His anointing and flow even though they have struggled before. He's helping people fly who have always been grounded before.

"And Her Feathers with Yellow Gold"

Again, "her" feathers. And, notice that the feathers do not comprise the entire wing, but they do comprise a big part of the wing. Gold is worth more than silver. I believe this means that parts of what you do – some of the things that lift you higher – will be very profitable indeed. In other words: everything you do will be blessed, but some things will be extremely blessed.

The key to all of these amazing promises is that these verses describe THE WOMEN who hear the Word of the Lord and proclaim it. I believe that this is a clarion call to women to rise up into the ministries of writing, preaching, teaching, and otherwise proclaiming God's Word.

I see a great group of female preachers and teachers who have not been given a chance to operate in their calling. If you're one of these, you have been waiting for your chance. However, know this: The measure of opportunity you desire is not coming unless you create it.

Great is the Company Who Proclaimed It

Look at the Scripture again: "The Lord gave the Word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it." The Lord did His part by giving the Word. After He gave the women His Word, He did not drag them through the camp, opening and closing their mouths, forcing sound out of their mouths in order to force them to proclaim it. No. He did His part by giving the Word. Then, a great company of women rose up to proclaim it. That means those women had to make the choice to proclaim it. They had to open and close their mouths of their own volition. They had to speak the Word out on their own.

But when they did, what happened? Kings of armies fled. Enemies fled! And women who stayed at home divided the spoil. That means women who were at home: not out in the fields; not out in the battle; not slaving away in the corporate workplace; but women, whose time was their own, divided the spoils of war and prospered.

Prophetically speaking, I believe this is a HUGE call to a lot of WOMEN: women who are willing to accept the entrepreneurial call and anointing; women who blend in with the sheep; women who thought they have nothing to offer; women who might have been silent before—it's time to rise up and proclaim God's Word, specifically in the writing and teaching ministries.

I believe God wants to move those women who desire to go into the full-time preaching of the Gospel. I'm not talking here about women who love their jobs and want to stay in them. If you are happy in your job, that's wonderful. Do what you're called to do and do what you love. We need godly women in the marketplace and in every sphere of influence! However, this word is specifically for: women who either are already at home or who want to be at home; women who desire to preach and teach full-time; women who are not yet laboring in the harvest field of Gospel preaching; or women who are not laboring in the harvest field to the degree they desire to do so.

I Am Marching Through the Wilderness on Your Behalf

The Lord told me to tell these women:

"I am going before you. I am marching through the wilderness on your behalf. You don't know where you are going, but I do. I am reconfirming My promises to you. I am pouring out My rain on your thirst. I am replenishing your spirit with My dreams, with My plans, with My lofty point of view.

"I am going to shake Heaven and Earth on your behalf. I am giving you hidden secrets. I will teach you how to do things you couldn't have known how to do without Me. The keys are in My hand; take My hand and trust Me for them.

"You must proclaim the Word. You must proclaim the Gospel. Indeed, I call you a great company. You are part of My company of chosen ones – forerunners for Me and builders of My Kingdom. (Photo via Unsplash)

"I will build My Church. I will build My Kingdom. But I need you to partner and co-labor with Me. I need your hands and feet to be Mine on the earth.

"Your gold is in My call. I have placed gold in you. It's the hidden richness of My Word to you; your experience with Me; the secret and deep things you have learned in your prayer closet with Me. These things are valuable. They are rich. They are worth something.

"It's time to sail upon the waters of My endeavors. My feet will walk with you. My hand will hold yours. My eye will guide you. But you have to choose to walk.

"When I called Peter to walk on water with Me, he had to choose to get out of the boat. I could not walk for Him; I could only provide the power and grace for him to walk, which I did. I will do the same for you if you will walk with Me. Step-by-step, one day at a time, I desire to explore the ancient paths with you. So follow Me, and I will make you also a fisher of men. You will have to follow where I lead. Step out after Me, however, and My grace will be waiting."
