"Fruit-Bearing Intimacy is Coming...and Millennials Take Your Place Among the Generations!"

The Western Church is getting ready to receive an amazing harvest. We are going to grasp many beautiful and amazing works of God in our midst, and no one person will be able to take credit for it. This God-display will be so ridiculously amazing, that any attempts to take credit for it will be quickly disregarded by even the least discerning among Believers.
This amazing display of power and love will come one way: Intimacy.
The time for spiritual PDA is over, meaning the days of pouring your affection out on Jesus "in public and ignoring Him in private" are done. The tolerance for such things is ending in this hour. The Millennials will lead the way through the only kind of fruit-bearing intimacy there is: private displays of affection. The Church will recognize that the Lord is only going to reward in public that which is sought in private.
Let me show you how the Lord revealed this to me. My wife and I will have a child this year and we could not be more excited about what this new adventure will hold. We are dreaming with God about all the amazing wonder that having our first child will be. We feel very blessed and cannot wait for the little one's arrival.
This child is on its way due to one thing: private intimacy. Without getting graphic, you already know what I am saying. There is only way way to receive the "fruit" of a woman's womb... you must have private intimacy and this is what the Lord is calling for right now from His Bride.
The Lord is saying, "Come to Me. Get away with Me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with Me and work with Me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly" (Matthew 11:28-30b MSG).
He is calling out to His Bride to learn the unforced rhythms of grace. He is asking if He can have some alone time and plant within us the seeds of revival and power that we so desperately need!
I am a worship pastor, so I have a great amount of adoration for the public gathering and the congregational aspect of worship. Singing together in praise and adoration of Jesus is one of my favorite things in life. However, I will tell you what I tell our worship team at my home church: The secret place is our first place.
There is a measure of intimacy that we can achieve with the Lord in public and there is an immeasurable depth that we can reach in private. This is the fruit-bearing intimacy that is coming to the Church.
The Millennials, in their passion, need to take this path alongside each and every generation. When we do, the raw power of God and the amazing love of Christ will be made more and more evident in our everyday life.
Fruit of our union with God will be seen in our families, in our workplace, and in our creativity. The Love of God is ready to sweep the Western Church into a fervent joy once again. We must only take the posture of private affection towards our Beloved. We must be the Shulamite Bride.
The Lord is saying this of us as it is said of the Shulamite in the Song of Songs:
"My darling bride,
My private paradise
Fastened to my heart.
A secret spring are you
That no one else can have-
My bubbling fountain
Hidden from public view.
What a perfect partner to Me,
Now that I have you!
Your inward life is now sprouting,
Bringing forth fruit.
What a beautiful paradise
Unfolds within you!"

Will you take this day and dedicate it to the Lover of your soul? Will you partake of the new covenant by way of union with Christ? Will you be the intimate, fruit-bearing Bride?
