 "Have You Had Your Miracle Today?"
Miracles surround us all every day. In fact, I enjoy miracles every day! "What?" you may ask. Well, it is true. All I have to do is look in the mirror. I am a walking miracle. So often through the years, the enemy has tried to destroy me and God's plan for my life. But God chose me for a special journey, and I am walking it out step by step. Too often, people take life for granted. They don't recognize what God has done or what He is doing every day of life on Earth. Occasionally, I have heard people exclaim, "It's a miracle!" They are speaking truth, but in their statement they are missing an important element of the miraculous event! The source of all blessings and miracles is God. I recognize and acknowledge God as the source of all miracles that surround me. I walk, talk, breathe, travel, and minister under the grace of my Almighty Father. In addition to the thousands of miracles I see as I minister, I have experienced miracle after miracle myself, as have those in my immediate family. I regularly hear and read about miracles that happened during a healing service from last week or from ten years ago. I still hear testimonies from people who were healed during healing meetings held by my parents, Charles and Frances Hunter, twenty to thirty years ago. These testimonies show that healings are forever, not temporary. My TV show and my recent book are both named Miracles Happen! Since I can't travel around the world continuously to share the goodness, love, and healing power of God with the millions of people on Earth, I take every possible opportunity and use every vehicle to get His Word out. Books can travel where I can't go. Through online TV streaming, my teaching can be listened to and watched around the world 24/7. What is the main subject of my teaching? God's miracles! What do you need? Salvation? Healing of your body? Of your mind? Emotions? Finances? Every healing is a miracle! I want everyone healed and whole, walking in His will and plan for their lives! "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines a miracle as "an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs." God created the earth and everything on the earth. In fact, He created the entire universe—stars, planets, and moons. Those who believe in the big bang theory will have a surprise when they face eternity and can't get into Heaven. God's divine intervention did it all. And He hasn't stopped either. "Lord, how wonderful You are! You have stored up so many good things for us, like a treasure chest heaped up and spilling over with blessings—all for those who honor and worship You! Everybody knows what You can do for those who turn and hide themselves in You." (Psalm 31:19 TPT) "And the blessings keep coming! Then all the ends of the earth will give Him the honor He deserves and be in awe of Him!" (Psalm 67:7 TPT) Many believe miracles stopped with Jesus' resurrection, but they are mistaken. God's miracles started with creation and have never stopped. You just have to learn to recognize His intervention in everyday life. When a parent gives their child a present, they hope that child will be appreciative and say, "Thank you!" A grateful response will encourage another gift or surprise in the future. I believe the same thing applies to God. He gives and gives and gives to His children, but are His children grateful? Do they say, "Thank you?" Those who recognize His benefits and gifts may be very quick to say, "Thank You, Father!" and praise His name for His abundant blessings. Unfortunately, many of His children enjoy His blessings but forget to give Him any praise. Then there are all the unsaved people of the world, who believe all the blessings they receive are from their own labor. They may look in the mirror and praise the image of themselves. "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God." (Deuteronomy 28:2 NKJV) Who blesses man with intelligence? Wisdom? Talents? Certain genes may come from your parents, but they still are operating according to the will of God. He is the One who created each of us. He also gives each of us what we need to fulfill His will in our lives. "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" (Luke 11:13 NIV) "For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." (Romans 11:29 NKJV)
Birth, life, salvation, redemption, restoration, reconciliation, baptism of the Holy Spirit—they all are miracles from God. Your responsibility is to accept each step and welcome His intervention and love into your everyday life. Study His Word, listen for His voice, and obey what He tells you to do. Obedience to His Word will bring satisfaction, love, and peace into your life. You will recognize His miracles swirling around you, waiting for your cooperation and willingness to be totally committed to Him. "I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with My Father!" (John 14:12 TPT) I listen for His voice 24 hours a day. He may want to heal the cashier when I stop at the drugstore. I willingly allow Him to work through my voice and my hands to minister healing to the cashier, busboy, waiter, cabdriver, or anyone else I encounter during a busy day. Maybe there will be a phone call, text message, or email with a request for God's miracle to restore physical, spiritual, mental, or financial health. I receive many requests from couples who want a baby but can't get pregnant. Testimonies come into my office nearly every day with details of a healing, reconciliation, pregnancy, or financial miracle. Wherever you are in this world, I will minister to you, cry with you, or celebrate with you whenever you have a need or share a praise report. I live to be the hands, voice, and heart of Jesus touching the world. "Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19 TPT) "Don't stop! Keep on singing! Make His name famous! Tell everyone every day how wonderful He is. Give them the good news of our great Savior. Take the message of His glory and miracles to every nation. Tell them about all the amazing things He has done." (Psalm 96:2–3 TPT) Start a list today. Document every blessing or gift God has given you throughout your lifetime. Now, thank Him for everything He has given you. Each of those blessings is a miracle! After you consider this list and recognize the miracles God has already given to you, you will share your testimony with the world and join me in saying, "Miracles happen!"
