WORLD WAR II CAMP ADAIR IN OREGON NOW HOSTS PROPHESIED STUDENT REVIVAL
Nov 30, 2000
Something is happening among the teens.
At Camp Adair--where over 100,000 soldiers trained for World War II.
The 91st Infantry Division The 70th Infantry Division The 96th Infantry Division The 104th Infantry Division
Where many gave their lives for this country!
Now, Many of these students I'm reporting on--- on this very site of Camp Adair-- will likely give their own lives for the cause of Christ,--- both literally and figuratively.
NEW SOLDIERS IN A SPIRITUAL WORLD WAR
God is releasing new soldiers for his "Spiritual World War" army. One of the largest---if not THE largest Christian High School in Oregon, in the Mid-Willamette valley is showing signs of the visitation of God--on the site of the old Camp Adair. How many of those 1940's soldiers had any idea of the youthful army that would follow in their footsteps-to liberate many from the oppression of THE ENEMY?
I heard that something was going on at this school. Word got around. So I went to visit it today.
REVIVAL IS BREAKING OUT IN OREGON
Revival is breaking out in Oregon, you know. It's happening all over. Why not here and why not among the teens? The Northwest has been on the Lord's Prophetic timetable for a long time. Some of the greatest ministries known have come from here. Kathryn Kuhlman was released at a Charles Price meeting in what is now the armory in Albany, Oregon--just 25 minutes from this school. John G. Lake's ministry became famous from Portland, Oregon--just an hour and a half up the road.
Who will be released into great ministries from this one school?
400 SOLDIERS IN TRAINING
Today, four hundred 7th-12th-graders gathered for worship in the gym, led by their own friends. I expected to see some pockets of kids goofing off, uninterested. I could find none. Some remained in the bleachers but most were on the floor, standing and worshipping.
More guys than girls--it seemed, had their arms raised in praise to God. I haven't seen THAT before--more guys worshipping with abandon than their female counterparts.
Revival in Oregon has been prophesied for this time, did you know that?
We are seeing more of it every day. More of it at this school, More of it in Oregon.
Here's what Chad Taylor saw from the Lord,
----"But now you cry out for harvest, prepare yourself O Oregon for it is upon you. And it will suddenly spring up around you. To the East, it will spring up, to the West, it will spring up, to the North, it will spring up, and to the South it will spring up. Pressed down and overflowing it will come. Your baskets will not be able to contain it. Your churches will not be able to bridle it, it will come with violence and force as they press into the Kingdom of God."

TODAY'S CHAPEL WORSHIP TIME
Today, it was about seventh graders. They were all asked to stand--the seventh-graders that is. Some 50-60 of them, give or take. Pastor Marshall Snider asked them to face the crowd of fellow students and asked them to raise their hand if someone they looked up to was in the crowd of students. They ALL raised their hands--every one of them.
"Do you see that?" Pastor Marshall said. You are all leaders. "Say it, ...'I AM A LEADER!'"
The students repeated it.
"Whether these seventh graders grow towards God or go the other way is "up to you," he said. They look up to you and they will follow you."
As the service was ending--- Pastor Marshall asked the students to come up and surround the 7th graders--who were now standing in a long line across the front of the gym--- and pray over them, boys with boys and girls with girls.
WHAT WOULD THE "COOL" KIDS DO?
This is where I expected the "cool" kids to hold back. But no! Over 300 kids SWARMED their seventh-grade "chargees" and blessed them. I've never seen anything like it. Not one kid held back. Every teen in the place was now surrounding a seventh grader---blessing them in prayer and in words--and in just --support.
Then, as the seventh graders were released first--to go back to their classes--the rest of the kids applauded them, blessing them all the more. "I AM A LEADER" -- the pastor clarified to this crowd.
"I saw this happening when I was praying about this," said Pastor Marshall, as he set up this "blessing" of the seventh graders.
Something is happening with High Schoolers!
Something is happening at Santiam Christian School on the site of CAMP ADAIR.
Something is happening in Oregon and the great Northwest.
Revival is breaking out! Will you help pray it in?
SEEING THESE KIDS FOR MYSELF! WILL YOU PRAY FOR THEM RIGHT NOW?
I went to see these kids so I could see it for myself. I'm writing to nearly 20,000 people on THE ELIJAH LIST to ask you to pray now for this school. If you get it in time, would you pray for Friday's get-together of these students? Something special is "on the Lord's plate" for Friday, I believe.
If you read this later, just pray for this school of "Soldiers-in-training."
God will appreciate it!
I asked the principal of the Junior High School, Steve Bittner, to write me a bit of a summary of what led up to this revival that is breaking out.
It's pretty interesting.
Here's what he sent me!

STEVE BITTNER, SANTIAM CHRISTIAN SCHOOL'S JUNIOR HIGH PRINCIPAL SPEAKS OF REVIVAL BREAKING OUT AMONG STUDENTS IN THE WILLAMETTE VALLEY!!
Santiam Christian School serves a student body of 720 students, from a five-county area, representing approximately 115 churches throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley. Many have been praying for this campus for MANY YEARS-- that God would break out and bring revival to-- and through our students.
TWO YEARS AGO, A WORD SPOKEN OVER THE STUDENT BODY
Two years ago, I spoke what I believed to be a word from the Lord over the student body. It was comprised of two parts:
1) God KNEW ALL ALONG that SANTIAM CHRISTIAN SCHOOL would occupy this site-- a former military base; and, that just as this facility has been used to train soldiers for battle both here and abroad, God would eventually, by design, use it to train "soldiers for spiritual battle"---also both here and abroad.
2) The student body at SANTIAM CHRISTIAN SCHOOL represents the Mid-Willamette Valley-- and that revival would spring forth FROM THIS PLACE, through the young people ON CAMPUS, to the different churches and communities in the area.
IS IT BEGINNING NOW?
Perhaps the beginnings of this are taking place right now! There has been an increasingly-- OBVIOUS work of the Lord in many students over the last year. For instance, there were many occasions when I never got to the lesson in my 8th grade boys' Bible class, because they were so involved in worship and prayer.
SKIPPING LUNCH TO WORSHIP
One day in particular, many of the boys skipped much of the lunch period to worship! (Eighth grade boys??? Food???)
Numerous students are having their hearts captured by the Lord, and sharing their love for God with others. There is a hunger in many students to have more of the Lord in their lives.
GOD'S PRESENCE AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
On November 13th-15th of this year, approximately 75 high school students went away for a Leadership Conference. The presence of the Lord was very real among our students, with many students sensing an increased hunger for the things of the Lord. On Thursday and Friday of that same week, I took 20 junior high students on an overnight Leadership Retreat to the Christian Renewal Center (local conference center). I had three teaching sessions planned. The first session began with two hours of prayer, intercession, and CONFESSION OF SIN!
These are junior high students! The following two sessions followed the same theme. It was remarkable!
SENIOR GIRLS HOST REGIONAL WORSHIP NIGHT WITH SURROUNDING SCHOOLS!
On Sunday night of that same week, our school hosted a Regional Worship night on our campus. Several senior girls spearheaded the event. Through word of mouth, they invited students from our school, and the area public junior high and high schools. Approximately 200 students came into our gym for two hours of the sweetest worship! A worship team comprised of students from our school, and at least three area public schools led them. Another significant event!
FROM THE MOUTHS OF THE "UNEXPECTED" STUDENTS
The following Monday in Chapel, several on-fire students shared their testimony of how God has captured their hearts in the last few months. These were students from which others may not have expected to hear such a message. It was impacting for our student body.
Now, we find ourselves in the middle of what our school calls "Spiritual Emphasis Week." This is a series of five Chapel services; one each day of the week.
Our speaker has been Marshall Snider, of Valley Life Center in Dallas, Oregon. The worship teams are made up of our students. Marshall has spoken with great anointing.
The worship has been genuine and very powerful. Lives are being changed! Tomorrow is the last day of our special Chapels. PLEASE PRAY that God's perfect will would be done on our campus.
PLEASE PRAY that revival would break out and spread from here throughout the region.
Thank you for praying for our students and for a breakout of revival!

MORE ABOUT SANTIAM CHRISTIAN SCHOOL:
Santiam Christian School was founded as an independent Christian school twenty-one years ago, and is located north of Corvallis, Oregon, on a former military base that was known as Camp Adair. Construction of the military base was begun in January of 1942, just after the bombing of Pearl Harbor the previous month. It was constructed to train soldiers for battle both here and abroad.
