Taffie Furr:
"AS GOD'S ANOINTED, WE ARE TO BIRTH WHAT IS OF THE SPIRIT"

Steve Shultz

The Church was birthed 2,000 years ago, but she, the true Church, really has been hidden away for the most part. It's in this generation that the Church is coming of age and is about to be "revealed" as who she really is--the glorious Bride of Christ.

The "awkward, unsure of who she is" stage is about to be done away with. The Bride will shine forth, knowing who she has been created to be. The glory of her Groom shall shine brightly upon her and all who see her unveiled face (as who she has been transformed into) will know Who it is that she belongs to. For it is His seal--the covenant seal of His Holy Spirit which is the evidence and the radiance she is adorned with. The Church was birthed and is now coming of age and ready to give birth. And to WHAT is the Church birthing? The glory of the Lord displayed as "His Kingdom come!"

We Cannot Carry What is Of the Flesh

Earlier this year, the Holy Spirit told me that He is purifying His Church; and He said that there is a separation coming first to the Western Church, then reaching into the entire world. It is a separation of what has been birthed from the flesh and what is birthed from the Spirit of God. We will be seeing many ministries and projects and churches being exposed; and among them, those who have been self-appointed, claiming to be in service to the Lord, will suddenly step down as the purifying of the Church begins.

Those who have been commissioned by God to be His anointed leaders, called to carry His presence, will not be allowed to keep alive anything that has been birthed out of the flesh. God is calling forth a Bride that is pure, without spot or blemish. A Bride that conceives and gives birth to only what is of her Husband's Seed and not of another.

Within the perfect will of God, when the marriage is consummated, there is an exchange of blood and this is actually a blood covenant that has taken place between the bride and groom. It is a covenant that God recognizes as existing for life. When we receive Jesus as Savior, we are partaking of the Blood of Jesus and in so doing, we are partaking in a marriage covenant with Him as His Bride. It is also a covenant recognized by God that extends throughout life eternal.

Prior to the new covenant with Jesus, we were married to the law. Since God recognizes covenants as a lifelong binding agreement by His plan of design, the way to be free of a marriage covenant is for one of the two people to die. So, in order to be free from the law, there had to be death. Jesus came and fulfilled the law and released us from it through His death. The word says that when we were baptized into Christ Jesus, we were baptized into His death, we were buried with Him; and just as He was raised from the dead, we were also resurrected with Him, into a newness of life. The old man passed away and we became a new creation. Therefore, freeing us from being married to the law and now by His grace, we are being transformed into the Bride of Christ.

Colossians 2:20-23, "Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations--'Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,' which all concern things which perish with the using--according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh."

Liberty By Grace

The keeping of religious traditions or of legalistic doctrines and regulations (Jesus calls them "the commandments of men") is conceived and birthed of the flesh. This is because of a false mindset that there is a need to perform by works, or to receive or to maintain righteousness. This type of mindset yokes you into bondage with the spirit of religion and opposes the Word of God which declares liberty by grace.

We are made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus through grace and "not by works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:9). By the Spirit of God we have been set at liberty from the law. The keeping of the law is bondage and we are only under that bondage, again, if we go back to it and place ourselves under the bondage of the law.

Galatians 4:23-26, "But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar...." Verse 26, "but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all." Verse 30-31, "Nevertheless what does the Scriptures say? 'Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.' So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free."

Galatians 5:1, 4,"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace."

You cannot live in the perfect law of liberty, which is grace, and also strive to keep some of the law, because then you've denied the sufficiency of grace and are bound to keep the entire law. If we continue to go back to the old covenant law, we are being driven back to the old mindset by the religious spirit, and we are not walking towards the goal of being the pure and spotless Bride of Christ.

Abide in Him and Not the Flesh

David was the anointed leader of God. He was chosen by God to be king among the people--God's anointed. If you recall in 2 Samuel chapters 11-12, David and Bathsheba committed adultery from which they gave birth to a son, conceived of the flesh. David's son is symbolic of what was conceived and birthed from the desire of the flesh, which is sinful in its own nature.

In James 1:14-15, the Word says this about the desire of the flesh, "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desire and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death."

Flesh gives way to sin, and in sin is the seed of death. The seed symbolizes the spirit. The spirit of sin brings death, but the Spirit of holiness which is the Holy Spirit--brings life.

In John 15:4-5, Jesus tells us, "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

Whatever you are rooted in is what kind of fruit you will produce. If you are a branch on a vine, you will produce the fruit of that particular type of vine. It is impossible to produce a fruit different from what the vine is that you are a branch of.

Jesus says in Matthew 7:17-20, "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."

In other words, you can know the type of tree that the fruit came from without ever seeing the tree itself, just by discerning what the fruit is. If the fruit is corrupt, then the seed is corrupt, as well as the tree because the fruit did not produce itself; it is a product of the tree of which it came from.

Throughout history, there have been many people come and go that are speaking and doing things they say are in the name of the Lord, but have actually been far from His will. Some have influenced and swayed many from the truth of the Word of God. That's why it is absolutely necessary that we abide in Jesus. For in this place of abiding in Him, is where we will know Him intimately enough to quickly recognize when an imposter comes posing in His name. When we draw near to God in an intimate fellowship, we are abiding in the presence of His Spirit; and in the presence of the Holy Spirit, there is perfect liberty.

John 8:32, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Verse 36, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."

Yoked by Religious Doctrines

Regulations, traditions, commandments of men and religious doctrines do not make us free. The Son of the Most High God makes us free, and in Him, only, are we made free. Within the rules and regulations of manmade doctrine and religion, there is no place for liberty and very little allowance for grace. And in the pursuit of trying to perform and keep the statutes of those doctrines, a person actually becomes yoked with that religion.

John 8:37-44, "'I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your Father.' They answered and said to Him, 'Abraham is our father.' Jesus said to them, 'If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father.'"

"Then they said to Him, 'We were not born of fornication, we have one Father-God.' Jesus said to them, 'If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth, and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it."

You can see that with their words, they claimed to be rooted in God, but in discerning the true identity of their fruit, they proved to be rooted elsewhere. Everything on the outside may have looked as if they were rooted in God as they did many religious acts, and even in their speech they were proclaiming to be of God. But the keeping of legalistic traditions prevents the liberty of the Holy Spirit from being free to move among us and through us. When examining the root of why legalistic traditions are enforced, it seems to take us back to the same reasons the Pharisees were wanting to kill the very Word of God.

God wants our whole heart given to Him. Why? Because if our entire heart is not set on Him, then some portion of our heart must be given to something else. And that is where the opening is made for flesh to conceive and give birth to what is not from God.

Matthew 15:13, "Every plant which My Heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted." God cannot bless what is conceived and birthed from the flesh and allow it to continue to abide in the hiddenness amidst what He has anointed. The seed within the product of the flesh is corrupt and cannot produce anything other than corruption.

Pursue Holiness and Truth

Yes, we are now seeing that along the years, much of the Church has strayed away and has conceived and birthed what was of the flesh and yet proclaimed it was of God. Because He is holy, we too are to be holy and are to pursue holiness, which comes by way of receiving His grace in faith, NOT by works. We cannot allow that which is defiling (manmade religious doctrine and legalistic regulations) to remain among us. As we surrender more and more to Him and turn away from what we once thought was the pursuit of holiness, we are bound to see and move in many different areas of the Holy Spirit that are not so familiar to us. And that's alright because there is so much to God, that we will never be able to experience every facet of Him while we are still in these earthen vessels. As to that matter, I'm not sure we will be able to experience every facet of Him, even throughout all of eternity!

I don't know about you, but with each passing day, I find myself more and more grateful for the grace that is poured out to me through Jesus Christ! David was a man after God's own heart because he humbled himself and repented. After repentance, David and Bathsheba, then being in the will of God, gave birth to a son, Solomon, whose wisdom and understanding was multiplied greater than any other man's.

In the spring of this year, the Lord spoke to me saying, "There is a separation now beginning. A separation of the sheep and the goats (Matthew 25:32-33). There are herdsmen who have been trying to drive My sheep in the wrong direction," says the Lord. "The herdsmen are unclean spirits, imposters of the truth. The herdsmen are those spirits that are the driving force behind those who have the appearance of godliness but deny the power (2 Timothy 3:5). The power of godliness is the transforming power of the Holy Spirit that is able to transform the heart and renew the mind."

God is raising up the worshipers in these last days. John 4:23-24 says, "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

The appearance of worship without the active participation of the heart is only vain religion. God says, "As My Spirit of Truth moves upon you, cutting off the apostasy of the flesh, receive of the fresh revelation that My Spirit brings, which is the manna that you shall be fed daily. Do not run away because of what seems strange to you, for this is My truth and My beckoning."

Our wonderful Lord has given us this time of awakening that we may clearly see the bondages that have held us captive. And now we are being awakened to transform into the glorious liberty--the true liberty of the Holy Spirit.

Church! Let us rejoice in this: We are His anointed and we are about to BIRTH what is of Him, and how beautiful it is--full of life, drenched in His love and liberty, and bearing His likeness and His name!
