Even amid all the skeptics in the world, there is an insatiable hunger for information about Heaven. It's a subject about which many have speculated and researched. After all, it's a place every single one of us really does hope to see someday.
But, leave it to the simple honest descriptions of a very young child to grab the attention of so many, directing it upward toward the Lord. That's just like Him, isn't it?
Jesus told His disciples?who tried desperately to corral enthusiastic children before they could latch onto the Messiah they followed?to "let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matt. 19:14 NIV).

When I first heard about the book Heaven Is For Real, I was excited to hear about the accounts of Heaven by this 4-year-old, but what I read and the hope I experienced was way more than I ever could have imagined. I absolutely LOVED it!
When this little boy began to share with his parents his remarkable encounters with Jesus Himself, and relatives he didn?t even know who had gone on before him, stating verifiable facts about them that he couldn't have known?there seems to be little room for doubt.
I also appreciated the way Todd Burpo, Colton's father, consciously tried not to ask him leading questions, or volunteer any information, allowing Colton alone to fill in the blanks with astounding accuracy and celestial portrayals.
Heaven Is For Real is a book for all of us. For those who may be near to leaving this earth; for those whose hope seems to have run dry; for those who just cannot get enough Heavenly information... and even for those who do not believe there is such a place.
Read this book, and you may find yourself running toward Jesus like one of those little children He so welcomed.

Heaven Is For Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters Heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.
Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and His chair are, and how the Holy Spirit "shoots down power" from Heaven to help us.
Told by the father, but often in Colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is Heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.
