Larry Sparks: "Revival Is HERE - It's Time to Jump In!"

Sometimes, we can pray so hard and so earnestly that we forget to listen or watch for God's answer.

In the Word God says, "BEFORE YOU CALL, I WILL ANSWER!" (See Isaiah 65:24.)

Moses was at the Red Sea crying out to God. You know the story. The sea had not opened up and neither had anyone ever seen such a thing.

What was God's response? He said, "Why are you crying out to Me? Get the people moving" (paraphrased).

Exodus 14:15-16, "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.'"

God seems to have expected Israel to move out in faith because He had already demonstrated His power to them.

Nevertheless, even in our time, we can do more "moving forward" than we think we can. Pray, yes! Then move forward.

This is part of a prophetic word that I believe the Holy Spirit has given me for what's coming, not just in the year ahead, but in the era that is upon us.

In fact, this prophetic word is available to "WHOSOEVER WILL..." Who will say, "YES" to REVIVAL?

REVIVAL IS AT HAND.

We need to stop praying for a move of God like it's coming "one day, someday," as if we are waiting on something sovereign to happen before the Spirit of God is poured out.

I've got news: Pentecost already happened. Nothing is left to come down or out of the sky except the Son of God. And when He returns, that's it. Jesus will surely evaluate how we stewarded the Person and power of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit.

And to be honest, I don't want to give Jesus some goofy (but spiritual sounding) response like: "Well, we were waiting and crying out and praying for THE BIG revival that was supposed to be coming...one day, someday." I don't reckon that excuse will be well-received.

Think about this: if a move of God is always coming, one day, someday in the future, then that safely excuses us from any responsibility over the move of God in the here and now. But if REVIVAL – the outpouring of the Holy Spirit – is HERE, then for us NOT TO RESPOND is utterly IRRESPONSIBLE.

3 Insights That I Believe Are Key to Stepping into the Flow of Revival:

1. Revival is not sovereign and surprising...it's a synergy of sovereignty and stewardship. Revival does have a powerful sovereign element...WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE is up to God, but whether or not we EXPERIENCE it is up to us. Who will pay the price and say a considered, costly "yes" to the move of the Spirit? I am convinced that revival is just one "yes" away from both the individual and the corporate Body of Christ.

I believe we experience mass "outpourings" of the Spirit when everyday Believers decide to actually LIVE as if they are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

2. Everyone is called to intercession, for intercession is the frontline ministry of revival. Those who are on the frontlines of revival are the intercessors, and this assignment is not exclusive to those who pray once a week in a small back room somewhere. I believe the Lord is raising up a global "upper room" (Thank you, Corey Russell, for this language).

The people of God are called to BE the UPPER ROOM through which the outpouring of the Spirit comes into the earth. Intercession, particularly "travailing prayer" will return to the Church.

It's not about convincing God to do something, thinking that our charismatic, emotional "gymnastics" somehow get God to move. No. But I do believe we are going to witness men, women and children seemingly apprehended by God in the place of travailing prayer. Why? They will TAP INTO the very heart, purposes and desires of God. They will be gripped by what Heaven desires to release NOW, and they will maintain a posture of prayer...UNTIL what they saw in the spirit becomes manifest in the earth.

3. Revival belongs to the UNOFFENDABLE and the INTERRUPTIBLE. Revival will be experienced by those who are unoffended by the interruptive sounds of travail and intercession. Birthing rooms are not pretty; but they are orderly. Modern Christianity (yes, sadly even those who claim Pentecostal heritage) has bought into a demonic deception concerning what Paul meant in 1 Corinthians 14:40 by services being conducted "decently and in order."

There is an ORDER that is absolutely "decent" from Heaven's perspective; on Earth, it just looks like a birthing room. It looks chaotic and crazy. It looks like bodies laying across the altar, some on their faces and some on the backs. It looks like crying, wailing, shaking and trembling. It looks like laughing and sometimes running. It looks like crying out and groaning. It looks like "orderly gatherings" being completely hijacked by a Superior Agenda.

The people and places that will be on the frontlines of revival are those who maintain unoffendable hearts and who PRIZE the interruption of Heaven, because they realize that what others might consider an interruption, they see as coming into AGREEMENT with God's plan of "decently and in order."

GOOD NEWS: You can stop waiting around for a "move of God" to come. Tag, you're in! And I believe as we ALL commit to stewarding the Person and power of the Holy Spirit, we will step closer and closer to CONVERGENCE.

I've SEEN revival in 2020, and I believe it's only increasing.

I've seen the souls saved and lives transformed in Southern California. I've seen people being baptized in freezing cold water, not to look cool, but to lay down their lives for Jesus.

I've heard the sound of travail and warfare intercession arising in Arizona at Fresh Start Church.

I've seen church gatherings where the people showed up NOT to be entertained or fed, but to stand in agreement with one another, and their leadership, and GO 100% after God...and then encounter Him powerfully as a corporate body.

I've seen services where week after week, the presence of God only intensified.

I've heard the roar of a "new sound" of praise and worship that refuses to merely model all of the hip, cool music that's floating around in the airways, but rather decides to translate the sights and sounds of Heaven into songs on Earth.

I've seen young people giving their mornings to praying for revival and awakening in the USA at the Ramp in Hamilton, AL.

I've seen people being baptized throughout the night at the North Georgia Revival, not because it's some gimmick, but because it's a genuine, sacred demonstration of lives sold out to Jesus. And I've seen GOD BREAK IN with power upon those hungry souls as they've come up out of the water. (I personally participated in this kind of baptism service in Israel, and it was one of the spiritual highlights of my life!)
