"The Era of 'More and Better!'"

Diane Lake
May 26, 2020

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzI must say, the title of this article piqued my interest.

With all the negative doom and gloom words going out...are we really in a time of "more and better"?

It can be hard to see that...especially right now, for sure. But I want you to read this most encouraging word by Diane Lake as the Lord revealed to her: "It is the dawn of the era of the 'more and better!'"

Also in this challenging time, remember to extend God's love and grace to those around you...they truly need it right now! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

The Lion's Roar

"A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?" (Amos 3:8 NKJV)

I appreciate the Lion's roar. For me, personally, I hear the Lord's voice mostly at night. While that's not the only way I hear Him, most of the deeper revelation I receive for articles comes especially during the night.

Sometimes it seems like I might go for weeks without hearing much to write down in the notebook I keep by the side of my bed; then the Lion roars and I can't help but write. So although this article might have a slightly different flavor and feel, my prayer, as always, is that I write exactly the things that I hear.

The Era of the "More and Better"

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." (Luke 6:38 NKJV)

I'm at this point of clarity concerning the new era. I mean, who can't see that we are definitely in a new era? It's crystal clear at this point. There's life before coronavirus and there's life after—but there's something that's crystal clear for me about the new era from a spiritual standpoint as well.

The Lord has repeatedly been speaking to me that sometimes you have to give something up before you can get it back—that sometimes your own plans of what things are going to look like have to die, and then the Lord gives you something better. (Photo via Unsplash)

To those of you who have endured through this process, I hear His whisper, saying, "This marks a turning point in your life—the dawn of a new era. Just as things are different now in the physical realm, they are different in the spiritual too. More will be required of you, but more will be given back also. You will begin to see Luke 6:38 unfold in your life. It is the dawn of the era of the 'more and better!'"

Be More Generous

"Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king." (1 Peter 2:17 NKJV)

Now, please don't freak out by what I'm going to say next. I might step on some toes, but I love telling the truth; and please know that I would not be writing an article without having heard the Lion's roar.

I sense the Lord saying that we need to be more generous—that (since this outbreak began) everybody's just trying the best they can. This is similar, in a way, to being generous toward those who might dress or style their hair differently than you—or toward those who might write, minister or prophesy in a manner differently than you.

For example, do you feel strongly that you need to wear a mask, or do you feel just as strongly that you don't? Do you feel strongly that you need to stay home, or do you feel strongly that you don't? What seems like "prepping" to me might seem like "hoarding" to you, but honestly, there's no need for us to finger point or to make less-than-helpful comments—especially from those of us belonging to the Body of Christ.

I heard the Lord say, "Just find YOU." In other words, as long as you're not flagrantly breaking the law, let's just agree to let "you be you" and "me be me." Like we learned in Sunday school—be nice, be kind, be loving toward your brothers and sisters in Christ. The Bible truly says it best: Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, and honor the king.

Words of Life

"...The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63 NKJV) (Photo via Wallpaper Flare)

In a vision, recently, I saw a Christian approach their mainstream church leadership team and say, "I sought you for guidance (during this outbreak) but you did not have much to say." My take on this is that the Lord would like us to take a good, hard look at what our message is to those who come to us for guidance.

Consider social media for instance. Particularly now, with everyone at home, people are absorbing large amounts of internet content. But a lot of it is written from the negative position—without hope, and without light. It's no wonder, then, that suicide attempts are up, alcohol and substance use is on the rise, domestic abuse and other episodes of violence have increased, and higher numbers are suffering from depression. People were not designed to be isolated or unproductive for lengthy periods of time, and as the Church it's our job to make sure our position is a positive one of hope.

This is not a time to shrink back. The coronavirus and the ensuing directives have created a breeding ground for complacency, timidity and not being willing to take risks. Don't let these attitudes be contagious; it is NOT a season to be cautious or tentative, but BOLD—not only in your witness but also in your faith!

The Lord's going to have to bring life to these words. Only He can do that, for the words that HE speaks are spirit and life. In this dawn of the era of the "more and better," let's be sure that we bring a message of life and light!
