"Look for the Abundance of Rain"

The Lord gave me the following word which aligns with the story in 1 Kings 18 of the Lord sending rain on the land of Israel after a drought of 3 years. The Lord is changing the season and bringing abundant rain to break the 'drought' in the lives of individuals, families, ministries and regions. Look for the change in season and prepare for the coming abundant rain.

"After many days the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, 'Go show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth.'" (1 Kings 18:1 ESV)

Expectant Faith for the Rain

I heard the Lord say, "Just as My servant Elijah looked with steadfast faith, knowing I would bring abundant rain and break the drought in the land, so too many of My people are standing in faith for what I have spoken to come to pass in their lives, families, ministries and regions.

"Just as Elijah continued to send out His servant, knowing the sign of rain was coming, so too am I calling My people to expectant hope, knowing the manifestation of what I have spoken is on the horizon. Now is not the time to align with fear, doubt and hopelessness, but to rise up in faith, expectancy and hope.

"Look to the sky, for the sign of the cloud that will bring abundant rain is coming. Many have grown weary in going out to look for the cloud again and again and they have become disheartened, but now is the time to rise up and look again for the cloud is coming. Don't lose hope in the time of waiting for you are at the precipice of the change in season. The rain of My favor and blessing is about to fall and bring refreshing, healing, breakthrough and a break in the drought."

"And he said to his servant, 'Go up now, look toward the sea.' And he went up and looked and said, 'There is nothing.' And he said, 'Go again,' seven times. And at the seventh time he said, 'Behold, a little cloud like a man's hand is rising from the sea'...." (1 Kings 18:43-44 ESV) (Photo via Unsplash)

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1 ESV)

The Rain Will Bring Seeds Sown in Faith to Life

The Lord then said, "As the rain falls on the dry land, you will see the multitude of seeds you have sown begin to sprout and take life. No seed has been sown in vain. What you have sown in tears you will reap with joy. Continue to sow seeds for the rain is coming. Sow seeds of faith. As the rain begins to fall, watch for the seeds to begin to sprout. As the rain begins to fall, know that I am bringing abundant rain, enough to break the drought, for I will accomplish all I have spoken."

"And don't allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you've planted is coming!" (Galatians 6:9 TPT)

"Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him." (Psalm 126:5-6 ESV)

"So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps His promises!" (Hebrews 10:23 TPT)

"So don't allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance." (Hebrews 6:12 TPT)

Those Who Hear the Sound of Rain

The Lord went on to say, "I am looking for those who hear the sound of the rain I am bringing, even before they see it, as My servant Elijah did. They hear the change in season and know the shift in the spirit and boldly declare what is to come. Their declarations bring alignment with My plans and cause My will to be established. They don't just have ears to hear the sound of what I am bringing, but they have active faith for they boldly act on what they have heard.

"Just as My servant Elijah heard the sound of the rushing of rain before the cloud appeared in the sky, so too am I raising up those who have heard what is to come and are preparing My people, for I am changing the season and the landscape will not look the same as it has in the past."

"And Elijah said to Ahab, 'Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of the rushing of rain.'" (1 Kings 18:41 ESV)

Time to Prepare for the Rain

The Lord then spoke again, "On the first sign of the small cloud and the abundant rain that was to come, Elijah told his servant to tell Ahab to prepare his chariot, as he knew the shift had come and the promise of abundant rain was imminent. In the same way, many of My people will soon be given a sign of the shift in season over their situations, families ministries and regions.

On this sign, they will be called to take action and prepare for the great rain that is coming. They will be called to prepare for the downpour and great momentum that is to come. There will be a need to take faith filled steps, believing the breakthrough is at hand."

"And at the seventh time he said, 'Behold, a little cloud like a man's hand is rising from the sea.' And he said, 'Go up, say to Ahab, "Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you."' And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain...." (1 Kings 18:44-45 ESV)

"Don't just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let His Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!" (James 1:22 TPT)

Positioning and Thanksgiving Before the Sign of Rain

I then heard the Lord say, "Those who will walk in the fullness of all I have prepared for them will be those who are positioned and prepared even before the first sign of the coming rain is given. They are the ones who have ears to hear and eyes to see what is to come, and they boldly stand in faith for what I have spoken even before seeing the first cloud appear in the sky, signaling the change in season. "They operate from a position of thanksgiving for what is to come. They obediently follow the leading of My Spirit and are positioned and prepared for the change in season and the new I am bringing. They will launch into the new season with great momentum and acceleration. They are the ones who take action, even before the first sign appears, as their faith assures them the word I have given will come to pass.

"This is what Elijah did in instructing Ahab to 'go up, eat and drink for there is the sound of rushing of rain,' even before seeing the cloud appear in the sky, as he had received My word that I would send rain upon the earth. These are the ones that partner with Me in all I desire to bring forth, just as Elijah did in going to Mount Carmel to intercede for what I had spoken to come to pass."

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV)

"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." (Colossians 4:2 ESV)

2019/2020 Rain

I heard the Lord say, "This is the year of increased and focused vision. The enemy has attempted to steal the vision of My people at this significant time as it is a point of change in time and season, but I am restoring vision to My people.

"In the months to come, vision and revelation will increase and continue to increase in 2020. This increase in vision and revelation will be coupled with the unfolding and acceleration of My plans in the lives of individuals, families, ministries and regions.

"Surely I change the times and seasons, and a change in season has occurred and has been announced in the spirit. My people now need to partner with Me in faith, obedience and intercession and look for the first sign of the change in season in the natural and know that abundant rain is coming. Great change is at hand both in My Church and in the earth."
