Andrew Towe: "Get Ready to Bounce Back!"

The Harder the Hit, the Higher the Bounce Back

One Sunday, while in corporate prayer with the intercessors from my church, I heard the Holy Spirit say, "Get ready to bounce back." He gave me a vision of a huge ball that was violently thrown to the ground with great force. It bounced off the pavement, causing the ball to soar high into the air. God spoke to me and said, "The harder the hit, the higher the bounce back."

Many of you reading this faced great opposition in 2018. Those very trials of resistance were setting you up for God's acceleration in your life that will be taking place in 2019.

The term "bounce back" is defined as "the act or an instance of bouncing back, recovering, recuperating, rebound, and a sudden spring or leap." The enemy's plan was to hit you so hard that there would be no breath left in you, so that you couldn't get back up. However, God is resuscitating you. He is breathing the breath of life into seemingly dead promises.

The Spirit of the Lord says to you, "You are not only going to bounce back, but you will ascend to a higher level because of the warfare that you have faced. That which was designed to destroy you, God is using to propel you to greater heights."

A Spring and a Leap

As I mediated upon the definition of "bounce back" I zeroed in on: "a sudden spring or leap." I heard the Lord say, "You will suddenly spring and leap ahead. No more delay. I will restore the years that have been lost. I will catch you up. You will recover all that was lost or stolen."(Photo via Unsplash)

Those who celebrated your downfall aren't prepared for your bounce back! The enemy didn't understand that when he incited the mob to call for Christ's death that he was actually fulfilling the plan of God. The devil was used as an instrument to execute God's plan to redeem man. He thought he had you down for the count, but God is causing that very conflict to catapult you to a higher elevation.

Get ready to bounce out of the low place, the hard place, and the painful place! You cannot stay down because God has pre-determined a bounce back for you! When God calls you up and declares, "It's your time," there is no person, no devil, and no attack that can keep you down.

Those Who Bounced Back

Take for example Paul. He was stoned, his lifeless body was then dragged out of the city by a volatile crowd who hated him. Howbeit, the disciples gathered around him and he got up and went back into the town (Acts 14:19-20). These killers must have been dumbfounded when Paul bounced back. Surely they asked themselves, "How could this be? They were heavy stones vigorously hurled at him." Paul didn't miss a beat. He departed the next day to continue on his assignment.

Moses is another example of the "bounce back." After being raised as Egyptian royalty, Moses visited the Hebrews and wanted to help them but wound up committing murder. After it was exposed, he had to flee for his life. He lived in hiding for 40 years in the desert, when suddenly God came to him one day. God had not forgotten him. He told Moses to go back to Egypt and deliver the Hebrews. Moses did not want to go back to Egypt and gave multiple excuses why he was not qualified. However, God would have none of his excuses.

The Lord had not changed His mind about Moses and He has not changed His mind about you! Moses messed up when he tried to deliver God's people prematurely, but God caused him to "bounce back." Moses was God's chosen agent to bring His people out of bondage.

Have you experienced distress in 2018? Were you rejected? Did the ones who said to you, "I will always be there for you," turn their back on you? Did you experience the sting of careless accusations and jealous actions? It was all a part of the process.

Get ready to experience YOUR "bounce back" in 2019. You will rise up and come forth. I hear the Lord say that: He has been preparing you for the "suddenlies" that will come to you this year. You will recover! You will rebound! You will leap ahead suddenly!

"Butlers" Will Open God-sized Doors for You

The Lord says that He will cause "butlers" as he did for Joseph to suddenly remember you. He will cause individuals to favor you with preferential treatment. Those of you who feel forgotten and forsaken, be encouraged, for God will raise you to heights of which you have never dreamed. A butler's assignment is to serve another and one of his duties is to "open the door." God is causing your "butler" to open significant doors for you in 2019. The God-sized doors that seemed to have been blocked, barricaded and sealed shut are opening now! God has already laid the groundwork for your breakthrough. (Photo via Pexel)

Shave Off the Old and Welcome the New!

When Joseph was called out of prison, he shaved his beard and changed his clothes. The shaving of his beard was of great significance. It was the Hebrew custom for men to keep their beards long and only shaved as a sign of great sorrow. However, the Egyptians customs were just the opposite. Men only grew their beards when they were mourning or in great despair.

God is calling you to shave off the old and welcome the new! Joseph also changed his clothes in preparation for the place of promotion where God was elevating him to occupy. Joseph threw away the prison clothes that he wore and fully embraced the new mantle that God had given him.

The bounce back that God will give you in 2019 will require you to shave off the old things of the past and wear your new mantle. This is the year that you BOUNCE BACK! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
