Here is another word about this new Rosh Hashanah year of 5779, which began on September 9th at sundown.
It's a good idea to collect all the words you've received regarding 5779, then compare and contrast them with each other. Whichever points almost every prophet hits are probably the MOST important items and points on God's agenda. Of course EVERYTHING on God's agenda is, by definition, important to God.

5779 is a new year when the new wine will flow freely. It's a time to position ourselves to receive a steady flow of God's Spirit. Of course, wine also represents sustenance and life and is associated in Scripture with grain and oil, which speaks to covenant blessings (see Joel 2:24). Wine can also speak of joy.
A Feasting with the Lord in the Presence of Your Enemies
In 5779, we can expect fresh outpourings of the Holy Spirit, both individually and corporately, that will set the stage for all things new in a year of new beginnings. 5779 is a year of overflow.
You will receive the new wine as you wait upon the Lord. We need to engage in an active waiting, with our ears perked up, rather than a passive or complacent waiting. A free flow will come through greater intimacy with Him and actively seeking the Kingdom of God (see Matthew 6:33).
Many will mock you for embracing the new wine, but God will vindicate you and prepare a table of harvest and feasting before you in the presence of the mockers.
Acts 2:15-17 MEV: "For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'In the last days it shall be,' says God, 'that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams."
In this final year of a decade where God is opening the eyes of Believers corporately, this new wine will also manifest with new outpourings of dreams and visions and prophetic encounters with the Lord. (Photo via Unsplash)
You Have Kept the Good Wine Until Now!
Of course, there is a price for this new wine, but you can't buy it: "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price" (Isaiah 55:1). Again, the overflow will come first on those who seek His face, not just His wine.
Increase is coming to those who rightly steward the new wine, according to Proverbs 3:10: "So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your presses will burst out with new wine."
Many have experienced outpourings in the past, but this season marks a different expression of the Holy Spirit's flow. Expect the unusual. John 2:10, "...He said to him, 'Every man serves the good wine first, and after men have drunk freely, then the poor wine is served. But you have kept the good wine until now.'"
This new wine will release great joy, even among those who have walked through seasons of weariness—but refused to give up. Ecclesiastes 9:7, "Go and eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a pleasant heart; for God is already pleased with your deeds."
Becoming a New Wineskin
It's time to ask for the new wine, not just merely wait for God to pour it out. His will is to pour it out. Let's actively ask Him for the new wine in all its manifestations. 5779 is a new year when the new wine will flow freely—but we must also embrace and, in some instances, actually become new wineskins.
In Matthew 9:17, Jesus said: "Neither do men put new wine into old wineskins. Or else the wineskins burst, the wine runs out, and the wineskins perish. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."
A wineskin is essentially a container or a vessel that stores liquid. Jesus said rivers of living water would flow from our belly (John 7:37-39). New wine will flow from our vessel if we embrace and, in some instances, become new wineskins as said above.
This means a change in the way we move, live and have our being (see Acts 17:28). With the new wine will come new creativity and new methods. We must not expect to do business as usual or church as usual. Those who embrace the spirit of innovation will see an accelerated growth as the Holy Spirit breathes the wind of momentum over your work.
A Renewed Mind Bears Good Fruit
Those who don't embrace the new wineskin won't be able to hold the new wine God is pouring out in this season. Their wineskins will be like bags with holes (see Haggai 1:6). Times of refreshing will come to those willing to change the way they think and embrace the new wineskin (see Acts 3:20). But the enemy will bring weariness to those who won't embrace the Holy Spirit's leading to follow Him. (Photo via Unsplash)
Noteworthy is the fact that wineskins in Biblical times were made of either sheep or goat skin. Prophetically speaking, I believe the outpouring of new wine will begin to separate the sheep from the goats—the true from the false. You will know them by their fruit (see Matthew 7:15-20). New wine manifests with not just the gifts of the Spirit but the fruit of the Spirit. Jesus describes in Matthew 25:31-46 that we will see exposure of abusing the new wine or who are not holding it in vessels of honor.
In 2 Timothy 2:20-23, Paul told his spiritual son: "In a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also those of wood and clay; some are for honor, and some for dishonor. One who cleanses himself from these things will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, fit for the Master's use, and prepared for every good work. So flee youthful desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But avoid foolish and unlearned debates, knowing that they create strife."
Only those who pursue righteousness will be able to hold the new wine. Those who abuse spiritual gifts, exert false charisma and the like, will be exposed in the eyes of those who have clean hands and a pure heart. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
