Breaking oppression with compassion

"For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise," says the LORD; "I will set him in the safety for which he yearns." Psalm 12:5 NKJV
Israel is under attack on her northern border from Hamas marching daily to try to break through the security fence and attack and on their southern border from Hezbollah readying missiles to fire into Israel's heartland.
They need our help, desperately.
Some children fear going to sleep at night because they are scared a missile is going to hit their home. Other elderly are staying indoors to stay safe. Many of these families are weighed down with the question of "What is next?"
On top of that, the economic situation in Israel is adversely affected by the constant onslaught as hundreds of acres of orchards and fields are burned by terrorist "fire kites" and improvised fire bombs.
And many in Israel feel all alone. Except for a few courageous voices most of the nations have turned their back on God's people and land, and have erroneously labeled these who are the victims of terror, the cause of the violence.
But there is hope...
God promised in his word that He would arise and set those who are under oppression and in need in safety, and He is inviting you and I to be a part of this promise fulfilled.
If your heart is being moved by the plight of these innocent people caught in the midst of this challenging time, I want to ask you to prayerfully give something today to be a part of reaching out with compassion.
