Here's the Secret To: "I Only Do What I See the Father Do!"

Jesus promised to never leave us or forsake us. He promised never to leave us as orphans either.

Instead, Jesus showed us a better way...the best way to live—and that is to ONLY DO THE THINGS HIS FATHER DOES!

But how did Jesus KNOW what the Father was doing?

He just hung out "with Dad" and watched what Dad did.

This is my grandson (pictured), and it's been amazing to "meet him" on the day of his birth and now see him becoming the young man God is making him into....

How?

By watching HIS DADDY the same way we all are to WATCH OUR HEAVENLY DADDY! (Left: photo of dad and son together)

Jesus was always beholding (seeing clearly) the things HIS FATHER was doing or what He approved of.

On the Mount of Transfiguration, God openly glorified His Son, overshadowing Him with such glory, that Peter wanted to build a permanent memorial to what God had done on that mountain.

Jesus was always in touch with His Father.

You've likely heard of a number of people who've been caught up to Heaven while here on earth, or people who've had open visions? God does this so people and prophets can literally SEE THE THINGS THE FATHER IS DOING, and then convey them to us!

Think of it...if people today can do that, have these visitations—how much more could Jesus have supernatural encounters with His Father while on the earth? Jesus, Himself, was also part of the Godhead and He claimed it to be so. That's why the religious leaders wanted Him dead!

What can and should we conclude then? That is—what can we know WITH CERTAINTY about Jesus and how He could do what He did on earth?

Answer: When He said, "I only do the things I see the Father doing," He was not only telling the truth, but He was LIVING that truth...He was doing what He saw the Father doing in the same way my grandson watches what his daddy is doing.

So when Jesus released that woman "caught in sin," He had seen HIS FATHER DOING THAT. Jesus had seen His Father's mercy for her, so Jesus showed the same mercy for her too. It's that simple.

When Jesus turned over the tables in the temple, He had seen His Dad doing that.

And finally, when Jesus had Judas carry the treasury bag of money—for donations to His ministry, He had seen His Father demonstrate that.

John 13:29, "Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor."

And when Jesus allowed three women to support His ministry financially, out of their own means, He had seen His Dad encouraging that! Remember, Jesus said He ONLY did what He saw His Father doing.

Luke 8:1-3, "After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. The Twelve were with Him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means."

The Secret to Hearing and Seeing What God is Doing

Don't YOU wish, like I wish—that someone had shown you and me these things earlier when you were much, MUCH younger? To hear and see God, we need only to WATCH EVERYTHING JESUS DID AND EVERY WORD THAT CAME OUT OF HIS MOUTH!

Jesus even made a profound statement. He said HIS WORDS WERE FULL OF THE SPIRIT AND LIFE!

John 6:63, "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life."

NOW, as you watch HOW Jesus came in contact with people CAUGHT in sin, you also are both hearing the voice of God and "seeing" how He actually responds to hurting people!

Everything Jesus spoke…every word was both SPIRIT and LIFE—EVERY SINGLE WORD.

Remember, Jesus said: "The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life."

Here it is…that final secret for SEEING GOD and Hearing His Voice.

So:

1) Think about Jesus all the time.

2) Read about Jesus all the time.

3) Read the Words of Jesus all the time.

4) "Watch" in your mind's eye how Jesus responded to sinners.

Then you will become one of those who truly KNOW THE VOICE OF GOD!
