For Such a Time as This…

"For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14
Brought to her position, to save a nation.
We all know the story of Esther, a godly young woman catapulted from obscurity and poverty to the palace seemingly overnight. She enjoyed the favor of the king, and had everything she could want. Her uncle Mordecai's words awakened her to the real purpose of her royalty and affluence; she had "come to the kingdom for such a time as this. Esther heeded the call, responded, and the courage of this young girl saved a nation from destruction.
THREATS TO ISRAEL
 Today Israel faces the external threats of war with Iran and Syria, but also a growing internal threat – hunger! The latest statistics are shocking. As much as one-third of the nation lives below the poverty line with over 932,000 children at-risk on a daily basis.
This week, the people of Israel are celebrating Purim, in remembrance of the victory God won for Israel through Queen Esther's courage, defeating the threats of genocide by the evil Haman.
In this time of remembering God's faithfulness, I invite you to do something practical to help struggling families in Israel receive the food and provision they need.
