In learning to "hear the prophetic voice of the Holy Spirit" there is one central question that everyone wants to know:
WHAT IS GOD SPEAKING NOW?
 What is the Holy Spirit saying today? Is there a current word that is trustworthy? Is there consensus among the prophets? Is every word confirmed? Do different streams or camps in the Body of Christ hear different aspects of the will, Word and ways of God?
This first question is often followed by a 2nd equally important question:
HOW DOES GOD SPEAK?
The Holy Spirit uses a variety of means to deliver the revelatory "Word of the Lord" to us. Some of these include: dreams, visions, visitations, illumination of the word of God, power impartations, the inner voice of God, the external voice of the Lord, and many other leadings.
It is important to apply critical tests to the revelation we receive to discern whether it is from God, ourselves, or the enemy. In order to avoid the pitfalls of deception and grow in consistently hearing from God, we must apply some important filters. We must:
- Determine the origin
- Examine the content
- Analyze the fruit
With that foundation in firmly in place, I can't wait to share what God has been speaking to me!
