Ella Onakoya: "A Holy Invitation! Acts of Mercy and Love Will Increase in These Days"

Oh my...I sure enjoyed reading the miraculous testimonies from Ella Onakoya and the creative miracles God does to reach the lost world He so loves.

The Lord reminded me that it was never the will of the Son to be contained and hidden within us. Christ in us can only manifest though us to the extent we allow Him to as we surrender to Him. I heard the Lord speak clearly to me, "Acts of mercy and love will increase in these days." Because Jesus is love, deeds that we carry out on the earth to obey the Father must be rooted in love and mercy. This Body of Believers who will walk in manifest oneness with the King will manifest Jesus in His humility, love and power as unusual miracles, signs and wonders follow them.

I sense the hunger in the heart of Jesus for His Body to allow Him to manifest Himself though us in fullness. In Isaiah 66:1-2, Isaiah prophesied about a day when the Lord will dwell in the midst of a broken and contrite spirit. Heaven is the Lord's throne and the earth is His footstool, yet His ultimate plan and desire was to dwell in the heart of man. After Jesus' death and resurrection, this became possible as those who came to believe in Him had His indwelling presence in them.

In Galatians 2:20, the Apostle Paul echoed the heart desire of the master when he said, "I have been crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, the life I live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me."

A Dream of the Body Fully Releasing Christ

A few years ago the Lord gave me a powerful prophetic dream about the Body of Christ, releasing Christ in His manifest fullness. In this dream, I saw the physical appearance of Jesus in me and in other Believers, but His appearance in us was not contained. The bodily form of Jesus was stepping forth through our bodies. We had become the hands and feet of Jesus as His hands, feet and Body started to visibly manifest through us. It was a picture of the raw hunger of Jesus seeking to touch and reach everyone who needed Him through us.

The Lord gave me a revelation of the dream. The dream was in response to the whole of creation who are earnestly seeking the manifestation of the Sons of God. Sons will arise who have been so immersed in Christ that Creation will see Jesus as He lived on the earth through them. He spoke to me about the unchanging purpose of Jesus. He is still as hungry today to reach the broken, wounded and sinful world through us as He did when He was on the earth. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Here are some key revelations the Lord gave me in how we are called to manifest Jesus in these days:

1. Radiating the Face of Jesus As We Walk in Oneness with Him

Although the Scriptures said that no one has ever seen God, however Jesus said, "Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). Hebrews 1:3 talks about the Son being the brightness of God's glory and the express image of His person. Colossians 2:9 talks about the fullness of deity living in Jesus in bodily form. If Jesus is the express image of the Father, then we must become the express image of the Son as He lives in us.

Daily immersions in the presence of Jesus through worship, the Word and Spirit-led intercession will cause us to manifest His brightness to the world. It's not unusual to glow when we have been in the presence of Jesus and in prayer. The disciples were transfigured as they were on the mountain with Jesus! Many will experience the glory in the face of Jesus being seen on them as they walk in oneness with the Lord. Creation in its longing for the manifestation of Sons of God, is really looking for the face of Jesus!

Here is an amusing yet powerful story of what God allowed me to experience recently as He caused His Son to be seen in me. Recently, I was home in London and before going out one day, I prayed that the Lord would allow His face to be seen in me. Then I went out on a power walk, and as I walked back home, I noticed an elderly man doing some window shopping at a bicycle store. I asked him if he was thinking of buying a bicycle and he said no as they were too expensive.

I used that opportunity to share the Gospel with him and then gave him the opportunity to receive Jesus as his Savior. He got born again that night while he received Jesus in His heart as His Lord and Savior. Afterwards, he looked at me and said, "You are not human." I thought he was joking and replied that of course I was human. He kept repeating his statement that I wasn't human and even said he was sure I was an angel.

Suddenly, I remembered the prayer I prayed earlier that day for the face of Jesus to be seen in me. That night Jesus allowed His face to radiate through me as I ministered in oneness with Him to the man who needed salvation. I am sure the man learned a wonderful lesson that night as he got saved and his destiny was to reveal Jesus wherever he went!

2. There is Divine Order to the Path of Coming into Manifest Oneness with Jesus

In Colossians 1:18, Jesus was described as the Head of the Body, the Church. He has supremacy in everything. Jesus recognized the authority of the Father and obeyed Him in all things; so also we must recognize Him as the Head in all things. Humility is the ability to recognize that without Jesus we can do nothing.

As we recognize His Lordship and move wherever He leads, we become one with Him as we act out His will. His desire is to lead and bring direction in all parts of our lives, in our families, ministry and nations as we walk with Him and recognize His Lordship.

3. In Christ, We Are Divine Powerhouses Through Which He Longs to Release Creative Miracles

One of the attributes of Jesus is that He is One who creates. Colossians 1:16 talks about all things in Heaven and on earth created though Jesus. We can be sure that if Jesus creates and lives in us, then surely He wants to release creative miracles through us. Everyday Believers who walk by faith in Jesus will flow in these miracles. I believe this testimony I shared here will encourage you to believe for Jesus to release creative miracles through you.

As I was ministering at a conference in the UK, the Lord gave me words of knowledge for people with painful feet conditions (I've shared some of these testimonies before). Many came out to be prayed for. One of them revealed that her painful foot condition was caused by her being born without arches in her feet. This caused her pain and discomfort and I realized she needed a creative miracle. I prayed and commanded in the name of Jesus for new arches to appear on her feet where there were none.

She had then taken off her shoes and excitedly called my attention to see the arches on her feet that were growing and creating before our very eyes! As I commanded in the name of Jesus, the power for creative miracles was released and this woman became healed. She stood up and was able to walk normally. Friends, this is the hour to allow the creative power of miracles in Jesus to flow though us.

4. Christ Through Us Wants to Reconcile the World to Himself

Jesus through His shed Blood on the Cross has made provision to reconcile all to Him. Even those who are enemies in their minds and alienated to God are very much included in God's plan of reconciliation. I sense a wonderful outpouring of the Spirit being released as we step out of our comfort zone to reach out not only to the outwardly broken and wounded, but even to those who are enemies to the Gospel of Christ and alienated towards Him. His love in us will fuel the power of conviction that is needed to bring them to Him. (Photo via eyesright.com)

There are wonderful stories of Muslims having visitations of Jesus in Muslim countries and becoming saved. I also believe that our communities are filled with those alienated from the life of Christ that Jesus in us is longing to reach out to.

A few years ago, I was on my way home when I witnessed a commotion in front of the building I lived at. There was an altercation caused by an old woman having an argument with those trying to enter the building. She aggressively asked them for cigarettes and when they declined, she threatened to curse them with a gypsy curse. Many recoiled from her but I found myself drawn to her. The nastier she became, the more Jesus through me wanted to touch her.

The Lord had already revealed to me after my prophetic dream that "acts of mercy and love" will release great power, so I offered to help her carry her bags. As we went up the escalator, we came out and I stood in front of her flat. I shared the testimony of how I came to Christ at age 15 and how Jesus simultaneously delivered me on the day. I got saved from a depression that had triggered self-harm in me and suicidal plans.

The woman got aggressive as I shared the testimony and gripped my hand trying to force me inside her house, threatening me with a curse that would undo all the good Jesus had done in me. I was naturally taken aback by her behavior but I reacted with kindness asking what her problem was and how I could be of help. She said she was hungry. I offered to buy and pay for her groceries. As we went shopping and filled her bag with food, her face noticeably softened.

Suddenly she lifted up her clothes sleeves and showed me several areas in her body where she had cut herself and had ended up in the hospital many times as a result of it. She revealed that her journey into depression started when her husband died. My heart filled with fresh compassion, I shared the Gospel again with her, and this time she listened and received the Lord into her heart as her Lord and Savior. She became born again.

As we went up the escalator, she held my hand and danced with tears streaming down her face as she sang this Christian chorus "Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus loves me...for the Bible tells me so..." Love had ministered to her where nothing else could.

Friends, there is no higher calling or aspiration than to walk in manifest oneness with our King Jesus as we live lives surrendered to Him. The beauty of His person, His love, humility, glory, and power is what the world longs to see and experience. What an honor that Heaven has bestowed on us to become one with the Master...this is a holy invitation that we must all do and heed! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
