Kathi Pelton: "Hidden Treasures and Double Portions"

These are intense and chaotic days we are in...any many are dealing with fear in this hour. AND at the same time, we've been hearing prophetic words of "Breakthrough" coming for God's people.

Isn't it just like the enemy to release fear right when we're on the verge of breakthrough? His plans are easy to see!

You will be greatly encouraged in this latest word for July by Kathi Pelton. In this she shares:

I sensed that there is a "sacrifice of thanksgiving" that the Spirit is prompting many to release. It may be a shout, a declaration or an act of sacrificial thanksgiving that declares His goodness to you and to mankind. This will be the key to your breakthrough! Don't release it merely for the sake of breakthrough but because it is truth and He is worthy!

In times like this...it's a time to stand in faith and release our praise and thanksgiving unto the Lord!

Faith is about believing in and putting our hope in what we do not see. We hear a promise or direction from the Lord and we begin to walk in it apart from any tangible proof—something we can see—that it will happen. The proof is in His word to us, because He is faithful and true to keep His word.

Recently I shared with a friend about our family's many journeys of stepping out in faith even though we had no idea how things could, or would, come together for us. As I recalled the many testimonies of His faithfulness, I kept seeing a picture of hidden treasures that were about to be released.

Stepping Out in Faith

During this conversation I recalled a time that the Lord asked us to move to another country with only six weeks notice. We had bought a brand new home only eight months earlier, and with a new mortgage payment and four small kids we struggled to see how this could be the Lord's voice. After much prayer and many confirmations, we discerned that it was His direction, so we put our home up for sale and prepared to move our family out of our country.

When our departure day arrived, our house had not sold, almost no financial support had been raised, visas had not been acquired and we only had enough money to get where we were going. With nothing but faith in the unseen promise we departed to a new nation.

I'd love to say that we were so full of faith that we were not afraid, but quite honestly we were terrified. We had only stepped out one other time in that level of the unknown but it was before we had kids. This time we looked at our four young children and prayed that we had heard correctly! Through the years that we lived in our new country we learned that God always had hidden treasures waiting for us in the form of homes, connections, relationships, resources and finances.

I don't think in all those years we ever knew where our provision was coming from, but it always came. It did not come from seen, but rather from unseen places that our thoughts could have never expected nor could our minds have begun to comprehend. We lived in a state of continual surprise. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. Isaiah 45:3

Today we still live by faith in the unseen regarding our financial provision each month, and even now there are unexpected moments that we have to calm our hearts and remind ourselves that God has stored up hidden treasures for His us that He releases at the appointed time. This is true for all of us, whether we receive a weekly paycheck or not.

The Amplified Bible gives a wonderful description of faith in Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Living Intercession

As a prophetic person who is called to intercede into what I am shown, I find that I'm in a constant place of living out what many in the Body of Christ are experiencing. These are not meant as oppressive burdens upon intercessors, but rather are assignments that are given in partnership with the Holy Spirit. These assignments are to lead us into great joy because He does not ask us to partner with Him in defeat but in assured victory!

The past two months, I began to experience great pressure against my soul. At the same time my husband and I suddenly found our finances were coming up short—very short! After years of learning to walk by faith and not by sight I have learned to weather these storms from a place of peace and assurance of His breakthrough.

But what really caught my attention this time was that I started not sleeping well; I began literally waking up in a state of panic. I'd go to bed peaceful and confident in His goodness and wake up in the middle of the night feeling as though I couldn't breathe. I hadn't had a bad dream; I would just wake up out of sound sleep feeling as though a bucket of ice water had been thrown upon my soul.

When this happened more than once I asked the Lord what was happening and what I was to do. His response was:

"Many of My sons and daughters are experiencing panic and despair and I am asking you to partner with Me to overcome this demonic assignment that has been sent against them."

Intercessors partner with Jesus, who is the One who has already overcome all things, on behalf of others. It is an honor to do this but it can be a deep burden if you don't recognize the assignment. Once you understand the invitation to partner with Him, your attention shifts from your personal battle and is refocused on seeing His Body receive the promised victory.

Once I realized that I was living out an intercessory assignment, I was able to get my bearings and release the intercession that He was longing for. This particular assignment has been revealed to many and is now being carried in prayer by those who have agreed to partner with Him.

I am sharing this for two reasons: First to reassure all of you who are facing panic and desperate situations that Jesus has taken up your cause and your relief is on its way! Second, I want to remind all who are called to intercede that the heaviness and pressure you might be experiencing is not "your pain" but His pain for His children that are hurting.

As we partner with Him in these sufferings then we will also partner with Him in His glory as we see freedom come to those who need His help.

But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:13

Give Thanks!

If you are facing this assignment of pressure or heaviness then the Lord desires to comfort you. As I was in intercession for you I heard the words, "Give thanks!" Psalm 107 begins with the words, "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever!" (Photo via Pixabay)

This psalm then goes on to recount the many ways that God has displayed His goodness throughout the ages to His children. Within this psalm, after each reminder of His acts of deliverance and goodness, there is a declaration that says, "Give thanks to the Lord..."

As I was reading this psalm I saw a picture of the Lord riding swiftly upon the praises of His people with a sickle in His hand. This picture began to move and turned into a vision of men and women who were trapped in great distress, but their cries for help suddenly turned into shouts that declared thankfulness for His goodness.

As they released these declarations a great acceleration took place and Jesus rode upon the sound of thanksgiving. The sickle in His hand was being used to quickly and suddenly free them from all that was weighing down upon them and causing them such distress.

Then as they were set free, I saw the sacrifice of thanksgiving that they released permeate their entire being with joyful praise. When this happened they began to ride with the Lord and together they went forth with this sickle to free captives—men and women, cities and nations who will join God's great army.

Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of His works with songs of joy. Psalm 107:21-22

Don't release it merely for the sake of breakthrough but because it is truth and He is worthy!

Watch for July's Double Portion

I kept seeing the date 7/7 and sense that we are completing a time of preparation and moving into a time of establishment thereafter. Seven is the number of completion and perfection. I feel that the Lord is saying that we will see the double portion released at this time. It will cause things that have been unsettled to be firmly established and many will move into the fullness of the change that they've been experiencing.

There will be many double portion blessings released during this time. Where you have experienced shame you will receive a double portion of His blessings (Isaiah 61:6-7). Many things will double but it will not be your trouble! This double will be all about blessings.

Prophetic words that you thought would never come to pass will not only begin to come to fruition but will have a double portion upon them. I even want you to begin to watch for many twins to be conceived at this time; especially to those who have not been able to conceive.
