Daryl Crawford-Marshall: "I'm Preparing My People For War!"

I always enjoy prophetic words that are for the "equipping" of the Body as is this word by Daryl Crawford-Marshall.

God has given us many gifts and anointings to equip us for the work ahead. Just read this word that the Lord spoke to Daryl:

The Kit Bag

Whilst in prayer regarding the season we are in and what I should be releasing to churches, I had an incredible encounter with the Lord where, I believe, He communicated some very important things we can expect to experience as we move forward in this next season. The encounter began by me starting to sing a song that my Granddad taught me when I was a very young child. He served in World War II and would sometimes teach me songs from that era. In the encounter, I started to sing the words:

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and SMILE, SMILE, SMILE!

This was a song that we would sing regularly on long car journeys together and I wondered why I would be singing that song specifically. For those unfamiliar with a "kit bag," it was a cylinder-shaped bag that soldiers used during the war to keep their clothes and possessions in.

As soon as I had finished singing the first line of this song, I found myself standing at the top of a trench like one you would expect to see in old war footage right at the start of no man's land. I saw the Lord standing at the top of the trench too; He had a big smile on His face and was holding a kit bag in His hands. I now watched as the Lord stuck His hand into the bag, rummaged around, and pulled out a compass. He looked over to me with a smile, and said:

"I am preparing My people for war, Daryl!"

This statement then amplified His smile all the more as though He had already worked everything out. I knew instinctively that we were not entering a war that we were going to lose, but instead were going to start to occupy new territory and/or take new ground. This is why we were standing at the top of the trenches, I thought, we were ready to advance!

The Lord then proceeded to take another five items from the bag, which I knew directly related both to this heavenly directive and the spiritual dynamics we could expect to experience as we stepped into this new season. The items were brought out one by one, and each had Scriptures connected to them. They were as follows:

Item 1 – A Compass

The first item was a compass. This item, I knew, was regarding our direction and felt that it was one of most important things in the bag. As I looked down at the compass itself, the Lord smiled and said: (Photo via Pixabay)

"My word is like a compass, Daryl. It helps keep people on the right course!"

I heard a passage spoken into the atmosphere:

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105 KJV).

I knew immediately that the Lord was encouraging people that the way to stay on course in this next season would be to remember those words that had been spoken to them in the past. These words would actually work to illuminate the pathway on which they were to personally advance.

Item 2 – A Piece of Paper

In an instant, we moved onto the next item, which was a piece of paper no bigger than a page from a notebook. It was crumpled, and I watched as it was unfolded and straightened out by the Lord, as if He were reemphasizing its importance. I then suddenly saw a Scripture in the spirit:

"Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counselors they are established" (Proverbs 15:22 KJV).

I could now see that there were a number of peoples' names listed on this paper with their contact numbers. I was still a little puzzled and looked to the Lord. As I did, I heard a second Scripture spoken in the spirit: (Photo via Pixabay)

"[As] iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17).

I now suddenly understood that advancing would require individuals to connect continually with both those people who sharpen them well and those who could provide good and wise, godly counsel. I knew moving forward could not be done on one's own but would require intentional vulnerability and constant connection to God-given friendships and/or leaders.

Item 3 – A Yellow Swiss Army Knife

The third thing He took from the bag was a yellow Swiss Army penknife. As soon as He took this item from the bag, I heard a Scripture from the Book of Romans: (Photo via Pixabay)

"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable" (Romans 11:29).

And then heard the Lord say:

"Many people have not yet realized their full potential or gifting, Daryl. Just as this Swiss Army knife has many parts and can be used for many purposes, so many of My people will soon discover giftings that I placed within them that they have not yet seen activated."

Item 4 – A Dual Time Piece

The Lord then produced a watch from within the bag. This watch was not a usual wristwatch but was one that sported two distinct time zones on the face, much like one that you might see a flight attendant wearing on a flight. (Photo via Pixabay)

He looked over to me and said:

"I am synchronizing earth to Heaven's time zone, Daryl!"

He pressed a button on the side of the watch and both watches came into sync with one another.

He said:

"My people will see clearly times and seasons as they receive understanding of what I am releasing from Heaven."

I then saw a Scripture float over and around the watch:

"Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do..." (1 Chronicles 12:32 NASB).

Seeing the watch, I instinctively knew that it would be paramount in this season for the people of God to understand how to partner and be synchronized with Heaven. That a slipstream of momentum was coming that would require us, like the sons of Issachar, to understand the times and seasons under Heaven.

Item 5 – A Loaf of Bread

Next I saw a loaf of bread. As soon as I saw it, I knew that this was not a single loaf but represented a continual strengthening, sustaining, and edifying for the people of God. (Photo via Pixabay)

I watched as a Scripture flashed before me:

"Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11 NKJV).

I felt that the presence of this bread and the Scripture accompanying it must be highlighting again the importance of seeking God daily for manna from His mouth.

A second Scripture then flashed in front of me:

"Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4 NASB).

I knew that without partaking in the receiving of fresh revelation/daily bread from times of intimacy and the reading of Scripture, that many would struggle to move at the God-given pace and coming momentum in this time of advancement. This was indeed a very necessary addition to this strategic download.

Item 6 – Running Shoes

The final item that the Lord produced from the bag was a pair of running shoes. They were bright, multi-colored, and had the brand name BROOKS on the tongue. Suddenly, I found myself in an encounter within the encounter, where I was walking beside a beautiful water brook. I felt completely at rest and in total peace. Then, in an instant was standing back again at the top of the trench with a Scripture running through my head: (Photo via Pixabay)

"He leads me beside still waters" (Psalm 23:2 ESV).

The Lord smiled and said:

"People will learn to refresh on the run!"

I felt that the way that many had been accustomed to refreshing in the Lord would take on a whole new dimension as their capacity to drink of His Spirit would accommodate for new levels of output as people began to engage with this new pace and direction in God.

I believe that we are in a time of massive mobilization, where the Lord is giving us everything we need to advance and occupy in this next season! I believe, too, that each of the items I saw being released carried with it supernatural impartation. An impartation that will equip Believers to enter into this next season with all they need to advance and take new ground!
