Whatever could move was being moved by the wind. I was knocked to the ground and I had to hold on to a column to not be blown away. However the wind gave me a peaceful and calm feeling...it was refreshing and peaceful on the soul. It looked violent but was very peaceful and strengthening and I could feel God in the middle of it.

"The Wind of His Spirit! God is Moving with His Creative Power!"
by Jermaine Francis, Santa Rosa Beach, FL

Dream: A Rushing Mighty Wind

I had a dream in December 2015, which is unusual for me, as I would not consider myself a dreamer. In this dream I was in the foyer at our home church, Vision Church @ Christian International. Outside was blowing very strong wind, and it was very loud like hurricane force winds. I stood there for a few minutes watching this intense wind blow from the inside, but then I wanted to go outside and experience this for myself.

I went outside the church and the wind was so loud and seemed so violent, the trees were bending and the leaves on the bushes were flapping.

The following thoughts came to me in the dream:

This is like the breath of God, powerful, yet gentle. This force is the same way the presence of God was present at creation. The wind had a creative power to it like in Genesis when the Spirit of the Lord hovered over the waters. It felt like the same intensity that could have been there at creation. The wind did not have any destructive qualities to it, although it had the strength to destroy, but it did not.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters" (Gen. 1:1-2).

After having the dream, I researched Genesis 1:1-2. The NRSV translates Genesis 1:2 as, "a wind from God," meaning that a wind was moving over the primordial waters; other translations speak of God's Spirit hovering there. In this Scripture it could be translated Wind or Spirit. Here is the Hebrew word: 7307 ruach (924c); from an unused word; breath, wind, spirit: air, anger, blast, breath, breathless, cool, courage, despondency, exposed, grief, heart, inspired, mind, motives, points, quick-tempered, side, sides, Spirit, spirit, spirits, strength, temper, thoughts, trustworthy, wind, winds, windy, wrath.

GOD IS MOVING WITH HIS CREATIVE POWER THIS YEAR IN FOUR WAYS

1.) Blowing His breathe (Resurrection Life)
"Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being" (Gen. 2:7).

There are things God has been creating and developing in Believers lives for the past few years. God has been developing the structure and now He is blowing His breath of life into it and it will live. God-made structures in the Saints lives are about to come alive.

"Then He said to me, 'Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life'''" (Ezekiel 37:9).

Breathe produces life. God is breathing life into areas that have died. The areas that the enemy has slain over this past season are where God is releasing life again. Resurrection power is being released to the dead areas.

2.) Blowing Refreshing
God's wind is releasing refreshing to the Joy, Hope, Dreams, Child-likeness of the Saints. "Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give [them] rest" (Matthew 11:28).

God is releasing refreshing to Believers that are tired or overwhelmed. God wants to refresh joy, hope, dreams, and child-likeness. Everything to a child is fun and exciting. Just going outside to play in the front yard is so exciting and fun. God is restoring the hearts of His people so that every day begins with excitement for what God has for that day, no matter if it seems small or big.

To get this refreshing, Believers must work where God is working. It is easier to run with the wind than it is to run into the wind. Running into the wind creates resistance and requires more output to keep going. That extra bit of strength and energy will leave a person exhausted. When Believers work with God, there will be grace to accomplish more with less effort. Running with the wind will boost and maximize efforts. Those who run to and with Jesus will be refreshed and led forward.

3.) Blowing a Creative Anointing: "For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude" (1 Tim. 4:4).

God is releasing His creativity to and through Believers. God wants to give creative ideas that will solve problems. God is releasing new opportunities through creative ideas on jobs, in families, in ministry, and in the seven mountains.

4.) Blowing for Empowerment, not Destruction
In the Dream the wind had the power to destroy, but it did not; it empowered. "He blew with His wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters" (Exodus 15:10 paraphrased).

We see the full story in Exodus 14. Pharaoh releases the Israelites after the death of his son. Then it says God hardened Pharaoh's heart and he went and pursued the Israelites. The Israelites then ran into a dead end when they came to the Red Sea. They were being pursued by this great army and they had not place to go. This may have brought some doubts to their hearts. The path that God had them on seemed to lead them to a dead end.

The Bible then says they said to Moses "Are there no graves in Egypt, is that why you have brought us here to die?" God then blows a wind that causes the waters to part and for Israel to cross over on dry ground. Then once the Egyptians pursued them into the middle of the sea, the waters closed around them destroying them.

In this season what may look like a destructive situation is what God is using to destroy His enemies and empower Believers at the same time, just like He did with Israel at the Red Sea.

"Suddenly a noise came from Heaven. It sounded like a strong wind blowing. This noise filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw something that looked like flames of fire. The flames were separated and stood over each person there. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak different languages. The Holy Spirit was giving them the power to do this" (Acts 2:2-4 ERV).

God is releasing the wind of His Spirit to empower us by His Spirit in a greater way.
