I never left-not even for holidays or vacations for 8 years

"Will you help save Yahal?"

My family sat with tears in their eyes as young abandoned Israelis poured out their stories to us.

They poured from broken hearts that filled the room with raw emotions and hot tears.

I wanted to fall to my knees and weep with them.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development states that Israel is the most impoverished country in the developed world and ranks fifth in a list of 34 developed counties with the highest levels of income inequality; that means that the rich are very rich, and the poor are very, very poor. The percentage of poor in Israel is greater than in any other developed country.

This poverty has created hardships for many families and immigrants who arrive in Israel with no home, no job, and no support.

>>>>For adults, this means a life filled with frustration, turmoil and anger. For children, it means a much greater risk for abuse, neglect and unsafe living conditions.<<<<

As of 2015 there are over 12,000 infants, children and adolescents who have been removed from their homes due to neglect or abuse and placed in residential group foster homes in Israel.

One of these young men sat down with tears in his eyes and shared his story with us. Like most of us, he just wanted to be HEARD.
Watch the full interview HERE.

“I came here when I was 8.

My mother was not able to raise me by herself. So we made a decision along with social services that it would be best if I moved out.

I didn’t want to stay [away from her]. I kept running away so that I could be at home with my mother... Slowly, I understood that this was the best thing for me. I am 20 now...”

Yahal also sat down and shared her story with us:

Watch Yahal’s story HERE.
“When I was 10, I was taken to an emergency center for children whose lives are at risk. After that, together with my 5 brothers, I moved to a residential group center.

During the entire time at the group center I never left. I never went anywhere.

I never left, not even for holidays or vacations—for 8 years.

Since the day I was taken to the emergency center, I’ve never had contact with my family.

...the girls that I live with here are my sisters.

And it is good to know that there are people like you that are helping us.

These are just two of 12,000 stories.

12,000 broken hearts.

12,000 broken lives.

12,000 chances for a new beginning.

Curt Landry Ministries is helping support residential safe houses in Israel so that we can be a positive part of stories like Yahal’s. The Israeli government supports these programs, but once the children reach the age of 18 they are kicked out of the places they now call home.

There is no more support.

No more home and no more funding. No more family.

Curt Landry Ministries is supporting the Bridge to Independence program. Through it, we are able to supply apartments and ‘house mothers’ for groups of five to eight of these 18-24 year olds—guiding them into adulthood, and providing them with positive role-models.

>>>Can you imagine being thrown into the real world at 18 with no family to support you?<<<

That is what is happening in Israel right now. THAT is why we need YOUR help.

The first Bridge to Independence safehouse in Jerusalem is fully supported by Curt Landry Ministries.

Six young ladies have a home, counseling, help developing a personal plan, love and support because of the generous gifts of people just like you.

We received an update from our safe house in Israel:

The girls see the apartment as their HOME, and invest a lot of energy in keeping it clean and tidy and on ensuring the sense of security and stability that a home should provide, but which theirs never did.

In October of 2015, we are celebrating the second year anniversary of the opening of the apartment and we see this apartment as a model of success and as a critical element in the effective integration of the girls into the community.

As one house mother shared with us:

The difference between these kids and any other is a matter of chance. Each one of us has the potential in life to arrive at a point of no hope. As for them and myself to be a part of this program is a great privilege. I love them... very very much.

Curt Landry Ministries wants to give children and young adults a chance to become strong, productive, and whole citizens of Israel. We need your help! We need your compassion in action!

Will you sow a seed into the lives of
young men and women in Israel?

Will you sow a seed into the lives of abandoned children?

Will you give them a chance?

Will you give the gift of a home and a family to Yahal and others like her. What an incredible offering to give to the Lord and His people.

Each seed sown represents the love of Jesus in action! These children need your help now more than ever.

And when you sow a special gift of $150 I want to send you an anointed tallit from Israel and anointing oil as a special “thank you.” Thank you for helping the children.
