My faith in God prepared me to fight breast cancer spiritually and emotionally, but I needed help to fight my cancer physically.
Because I have worked hard to take care of my body my whole life, when I was diagnosed, I wanted to find someplace that would focus on my overall health and well-being instead of just the cancer. When I found Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), I knew I was in the right place.
The integrated model of care at Cancer Treatment Centers of America appealed to my desire to be treated as a whole person. Members of my care team were on the same page, which gave me the confidence to relax and focus on healing.
The medical care I received was excellent. I feel great now. But what really makes Cancer Treatment Centers of America special is the people. They supported my faith, took the time to answer my questions and treated me like I was family.
I had the option to go to a local facility for part of my treatment, but I chose to make the longer commute to CTCA® because I trusted my care team there. It was worth the extra drive to know that they cared about me as a person and not just as a cancer patient.
I am able to live the life I love today in part because of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Now my goal is to help others find the same hope and healing for themselves.
