From the desk of Steve Shultz:
Again, I can't say enough how much our readers enjoy Kathie Walters' words. In her latest article, Kathie addresses an assignment of His angels – weight-lifting. Do you have any burdens needing lifting off? Remember – His yoke is easy and His burden is light, after all.
Also, would you do me a favor? Please help us keep sending you words by buying as many prophetic items as you are able to from the Elijah List at this link: www.elijahshopper.com. You might save a buck by buying it online through Amazon, but you'll help us build the Kingdom more effectively if you buy things through us. Will you consider that "proposal"? Thank you for supporting us!
Kathie Walters:
Angels Are Into Weight-Lifting
Did you know that angels are into "weight lifting"? They hate the weights that weigh you down. When there are weights on you, you can't get into the spirit realm. So, the enemy loves to burden you down with religious mindsets that make you work at it, and strive, and try – try and do what Jesus has already done. Trying can be very trying.
God doesn't want you to "work for Him," He wants you to yield to Him so that He can work through you. He doesn't need you to try and meet every need that you see. Jesus didn't – He did what the Father told Him to do, He said what the Father told Him to say, and went where the Father told Him to go. That's all He ever did – and, as a by-product, many needs were met.
Like Lazarus, for example: People told Jesus Lazarus was dying. That's a pretty drastic report, isn't it? "Your friend is dying." Now, Lazarus was a good friend of Jesus. Jesus used to stay in his house. But, Jesus didn't respond to Lazarus' need, although He loved him. He responded to the Father. When the Father told Him to go to Bethany, He went – and when He got there, there was a little group that met Him. "If You'd been here this wouldn't have happened and my brother would not have died."
Well, that's a bit of condemnation right there, don't you think? But you see, Jesus wasn't interested in having a discussion about it – He didn't go to have a debate. He went to go to the tomb, which was where He was headed in the first place. He said what the Father told Him to say, "Lazarus, come forth." If He hadn't said, "Lazarus," then every dead person would have gotten up and there would have been a lot of confusion that day in Bethany.
You know, when Lazarus was raised from the dead, God got a lot of glory – but Jesus wasn't "working for" God, He was a channel of the anointing. The anointing flowed through Him.
As I said, He went where the Father told Him to go, and said what the Father told Him to say, and did what the Father told Him to do – that's all He ever did.
What Weights Are You Carrying?
False responsibility, which is a huge weight on you, can take you right out of the anointing because you are running around trying to meet needs and do things that you are not anointed to do – that's hard. Angels love to lift this heavy weight.
Sit down, take a break, enjoy the Lord – after all, that is your first calling, isn't it? Don't ever lose that childlike ability to enjoy the Lord. That's His favorite thing about you. It doesn't matter how long you have "been in the ministry." My husband David and I have been in the ministry for 45 years – but, still, our first calling is to enjoy our heavenly Father and fellowship with His Son, Jesus, and the precious Holy Spirit.
Another big heavy weight? You don't have to qualify for your supernatural inheritance – Jesus died and rose again, and when He did, HE QUALIFIED YOU 100%. You can't unqualify for something you never qualified for in the first place.
The anointing doesn't come on what we do – it comes on what He does. The glory comes when it's all God – the glory will never come in our efforts. We need to be Spirit-led – take a break, have some fun, listen! It's much easier to hear that way, and the angels get to carry on with the weight-lifting.
Tons of blessings,
Kathie Walters
