Ben Peters: God Is About To "Show Off"

by Ben Peters
Jun 29, 2012

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:

We have a guideline to pass a word around to see if we agree that it comes from the Lord. We redline what might be dangerous to say. In this case there were many redlines in our review process. I said, "Keep them all in." I have heard or experienced all of these things from the Lord that Ben Peters shares here.

In recent Church History, men would walk into town and a whole town would feel God's presence as they walked in, and most would get healed, saved or both.

Also, would you do me a favor? Please help us keep sending you words by buying as many prophetic items as you are able to from the Elijah List at this link: www.elijahshopper.com. Ben PetersWhile speaking to a congregation in Janesville, Wisconsin, a Scripture passage I was reading came alive and I knew it was a prophetic word for our day. It is one of the most exciting words I have ever received. Yes, God is preparing to show off His great wealth, power and majesty. We are never going to be the same, and I'm not talking about years from now – I'm talking about this year, and the next, and the next for some years to come.

We all love the story of Esther and the way God used her to save her people. It is an amazing, dramatic event in Israel's history. It's a classic confrontation of good versus evil, where evil has the upper hand, but the good wins out in the end with a dramatic and unexpected miraculous rescue.

We know how the story begins, with Queen Vashti's refusal to attend her husband's party, but we seldom pay much attention to the introduction to the story in the first chapter. But this is precisely where this timely word for God's people today is recorded.

You see, King Ahasuerus in this picture was a type of Christ in that he was a king of kings, ruling over 127 provinces of the empire of the Medes and Persians. Each of these provinces were really nations which had been conquered over a period of time. This empire stretched from India to Ethiopia. Basically, the whole known world was under his dominion. There were rulers in every province, but they were not sovereign. They were kings serving under the lordship of the king of kings.

We know that God has also made us kings to serve under the Lordship of our King of kings (Revelation 1:5-6). He has given us authority and responsibility to administrate a portion of His Kingdom on this earth. We have the privilege to rule as His representatives, but our authority is limited to what He has authorized us to do and say. We must put His prosperity before our own and bring the resources of our kingdom to Him to use as He desires.

Here is what we read in Esther 1:3-4 about Ahasuerus:

"...In the third year of his reign he made a feast for all his officials and servants – the powers of Persia and Media, the nobles, and the princes of the provinces being before him – when he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty for many days, one hundred and eighty days in all."

1. It Was In the Third Year of His Reign

Jesus did His redemptive work on earth in His third decade; He was crucified after three years of His ministry; He rose from the dead on the third day. We are now in the third millennium since His life on the earth. It is the third thousand-year "day" of His reign in the hearts of Christians around the world. We are now in that time of celebration of Jesus' resurrection life and power.

2. He Made a Feast For His Trusted Leaders and Servants

God is gathering His leaders, servants, and friends and is preparing a wonderful feast for them at this time in history. This feast will feature everything we are hungry and thirsty for. I should ask myself the question: "What am I hungry and thirsty for?" It's a great question for every Christian to ask, because God is looking for people who are hungry and thirsty for Him and His presence and power above all else. Those who long to see His glory, like Moses, will not be disappointed. The feast is being prepared and the table is being set as I write this message.

3. He Showed Off the Riches of His Glorious Kingdom

Kings can never really use their great wealth in any practical way. Their pleasure comes from getting to show off their treasure rooms to their friends and hearing their "ooooh's" and "aaaah's." That's what this king of kings was doing.

But our King of kings is going to have His chance as well to show off His great wealth. He is going to take it back from those who have gotten it through greed and corruption and give it to His faithful servants who do not love money but know how to use it for God's glory. He is giving witty inventions to Christian entrepreneurs and favor in business and finance to those called to serve on that mountain.

The riches of His glorious Kingdom means for us that whoever is seeking first His Kingdom on the earth will be bringing the glory of Heaven into the world they live in. The Kingdom of God will be within them, but it will manifest out of them and through them. Get your heart ready! The transfer of God's wealth of every kind is in process now.

4. He Showed Off the Splendor of His Excellent Majesty

The word "splendor" can mean honor or treasure, but especially implies something unusually awesome that would take one's breath away. "Excellent majesty" is a word combination that together means something both beautiful or majestic and mighty and powerful. The word "glory" also describes everything implied by these two words.

This is what our King of kings has on His immediate agenda:

He is going to manifest Himself in His power and glorious beauty in the gatherings of His people in a greater way than we have ever seen. I feel a strong anointing on this word as I write it. I feel that it is an urgent call to the people of God not to miss out, if at all possible, when others are gathering together in conferences or church meetings where people are seeking the face of God. If they truly gather in His name to seek His face – HE WILL COME!

And when He comes, He will show off His beauty and glory and power! He will do creative things such as are already happening around the globe. Glory dust clouds, angelic manifestations, gold dust on people, feathers – signs of the presence of angels, etc., have been happening for some time, but will increase and other more wonderful signs and wonders will take place.

Miracles and healings will take place more and more without anyone praying for the sick or needy. In the gatherings of His people the anointing will flow like a river from one to the other and sickness will flee from the anointing, as will demons, who have been hiding from public view until now. Freedom will flow and the Church will be in awe of the glorious majesty of our King and God.

But There's More!

And when these days [180 or six months] were completed, the king made a feast lasting seven days for all the people who were present in Shushan the citadel, from great to small, in the court of the garden of the king's palace. There were white and blue linen curtains fastened with cords of fine linen and purple on silver rods and marble pillars; and the couches were of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of alabaster, turquoise, and white and black marble. And they served drinks in golden vessels, each vessel being different from the other, with royal wine in abundance, according to the generosity of the king. Esther 1:5-7

1. All People Were Included

After partying with his leaders for six months, the king of kings focused for one week on all the people around him "from great to small." For a full seven days they were treated like royalty themselves, surrounded by the splendor and glory of all kinds of royal décor and gold and silver furniture.

Meanwhile, our King of kings, the Lord Jesus Christ, has opened wide the door to all who have not been on His team up to this point. What I believe is going to happen, is this:

During the first period of time prophesied by this passage, God is taking as much time as necessary to impress His own people with His greatness and power, His love and passion for His Church. When that is fully accomplished, there will be a powerful overflow from the sanctuary to the outer courts, where Jesus will lovingly and graciously reveal Himself to those who have never spent time with Him in His sanctuary.

The number "seven" speaks of completeness. Jesus will complete His revelation of Himself to the world for a period of time before that season is over. This will be the great end time's harvest that Jesus talked about. It will be a powerful revival and awakening that the enemy won't be able to do anything about for a period of time.

2. They Served Drinks In Golden Vessels

The passage clearly tells us that each person was served wine in uniquely crafted vessels of gold. Each was different from the other.

The gold represents God's glory, and I believe the vessels represent you and me who are filled with the wine of joy and celebration. We are each unique and will be the ones who serve those outside the sanctuary.

3. Royal Wine Was Abundant, According to the King's Generosity

This is prophetic of the abundant joy and celebration that will be going on all over the world. People will be filled to overflowing with God's joy and will be drunk with His love. God will be generous and not hold back, satisfying the secret desires of millions of people. He knows their deepest desires, because He put many of them there when He created them. They have been unfulfilled because they never knew how to access their Creator before this time.

Just One More Thing

In accordance with the law, the drinking was not compulsory; for so the king had ordered all the officers of his household, that they should do according to each man's pleasure. Esther 1:8

Everyone Has a Free Will

Not everyone will choose the joy of the Lord. Some will remain religious and cynical like the Pharisees. Others may not want to let go of the little bit of power they have in serving the devil. But to those who choose to drink His wine and enjoy His royal décor, the door will be open for a period of time. I don't know how long that will be. I just know that to reject His love will not bring a happy ending to anyone's life. What I do know is that God spoke to me through this passage and it is time to gather His leaders together to Him and behold and administrate with Him the riches of His glorious Kingdom and the splendor of His excellent majesty.

Apostolic and prophetic leaders, generals and warriors, please hear the heart of God for us now! We must come together without judgment, jealousy, or pride. We must first examine our own hearts and motives and ask for a fresh cleansing before we come together into the Banquet Room of the King of kings. Some older leaders may feel threatened by the anointed, younger leaders just like King Saul felt threatened by David, but if they resist what God is doing, they will lose what they have, and worshipping warriors with pure hearts, like David, will rise up quickly and replace them.

It's a great honor to be a servant leader – a king under the King of kings. Let's get excited! He is preparing the party to show us in a new way what an awesome King of kings He really is! Get ready to enjoy the party.

Your invitation is on the way!
