From the desk of Steve Shultz:
I live a very prophetic life. Although I don't ask God what color of clothes to wear or what toothbrush to buy, some can do that because it has meaning to them.
As I write this, I am taking a blue pill. Thus the genesis of this article. You see, I have a sinus infection and the anti-biotic I am taking is a blue pill. It caused me to remember an older movie I had seen.
Now, I'm not in the business of endorsing secular movies and certainly not when they contain things I disagree with, but years ago, I watched what I consider to be a very prophetic movie - THE MATRIX, though, as I say, there were concepts within the movie that I disagreed with.
The plot involves a group of people who were looking for the ONE. We know the ONE to be Jesus, of course. In the movie, they found HIM. His name was Neo and he turned out to work in concert with a woman named TRINITY. Thus, the prophetic picture. Early on we see Neo, which basically means "new" or "never before understood."
Neo was given a choice between taking a blue pill or a red pill. If he chose the blue pill, he would forget about everything and just become part of the enemy's plan and be blissfully ignorant. However, if he took the RED PILL (we know the red pill to represent the Blood Of Jesus and His 'cup of suffering'), he would be shown more than he expected and likely more than he even wanted to know or have to endure.
There would come a time when he would, in effect, ask, "IF possible, can this cup of suffering pass from me? Nevertheless, not MY will, but YOURS Father."
If you watch this movie, look for the parts that clearly represent good and evil, the Godhead VS. the devil. It's quite obvious if you keep your prophetic eyes and ears attuned. Even prophecy is depicted there, but I could have done without one or two new age-type scenes.
Your BOTTOM LINE is this: Are you are willing to take the blue or RED PILL?
If you take the red pill, you can trust me that there is small print you haven't seen and this small print will mention the things you must "suffer for the cause of Christ." The good news is that your suffering will lead you to a great life in Christ that you would otherwise not have.
I've often been mystified by this passage:
Speaking of Jesus: ...Although He was a son, He learned obedience from what He suffered... Hebrews 5:8-9
I find myself confused at best. Jesus, our Savior LEARNED? And not only that but He learned from the things HE suffered?
We are no different. With Christ living in us, we still must learn through our sufferings. That is, IF we are brave enough to take the RED PILL. Here is a truth though... It's probably too late for most of you. If you have received Christ, you have taken the RED PILL already.
As I once heard some pastor say, "Don't waste your trials."
Happy LEARNING,
